You wont answer your stupid phone so I'll ask here because I know your dumbass has been on all morning. I have an vendor app that is Installshield. The msi requires the setup.exe to run and of course I know the ISSetupDriven property and custom actions but that isnt the problem. In the msi there are NO dialogs. I'm assuming that they are being built with the ISScript. Anyway, I need to automate this piece of crap (Mercury QuickTest Pro 8.2) so I was going to try and wrap it with WiseScript and pass the properties via command line. Is there a way to see all of the hidden properties of an msi? Typically I would go through the dialogs to find the properties that I need but that isnt possible. I've googled this app, searched Wise and Installshield forums with no luck.
Copy and Paste baby! Open a new Wise MSI and copy all the tables from the IS MSI to the new Wise MSI. If that doesn't work you're screwed. You'll have to try setup capturing it. BTW I just didn't recognize you number. I was like 314, 314, Oh crap it's MasterBaiter, but you were gone.
Yeah that was me. Copy and paste was going to be my next try but I hate to destroy the vendor msi. I hate Installshield and its proprietary garbage.
I didn't realize that the bbs was now a replacement for email (aside from RM95's posts). great thread guys

I didn't realize you were a moderator now. Don't be sad that the only person who would want to carry on a conversation with shares your bloodline.
Why dont you go back to your D&D and troll there? There are plenty of technical questions that are asked on this board everyday. If I were to use the board as a replacement for email, it would full of "Can you believe what a douche bad bigtexxx is?" I dont feel that those kind of comments are appropriate for the board. I'm not limiting the conversation to PEF. If anyone else has help on my question please feel free to join in.
