    True
That's why I think Turiaf fit's the bill perfectly as a tough, rebounding energy guy off the bench(for his rookie year! ;) ).
Simiens(undersized and injury prone) or Diogu(undersized) seem like other options.

Forte wasn't worthy of a top 20 pick. He wasn't even worthy of a first round pick.

Tell that to the Boston Celtics.

Or maybe even Carroll Dawson who would have drafted him instead of Brandon Armstrong to ultimately be sent to NJ.

Why are you trying to prove your point using a pick (Forte) that was obviously a huge mistake? Isn't the goal not to repeat mistakes? Who cares if CD wanted to draft him high, or if the Celtics actually did in the top 20? That doesn't help prove your point that McCants is worthy of a top 20 pick. All it says is that people were dumb in the past. The only thing you COULD say with this comparison is that, maybe McCants isn't worthy due to the facets of his game and physique that are similar to Forte's (assuming that's why you made the comparison, because you thought that)

I don't know if you follow college basketball or not but some analysts have compared the two players. They have the common ground that they are both Carolina tweener SG's so there ya have a basis for comparson.

Where you are wrong is you are implying Forte and McCants have similar physiques and game. When it comes to basketball, the only thing besides the above mentioned that they have in common is they can score. McCants is better in almost every regard and that was part of my point from the beginning. My point was simply if Forte could go in the 1st round, I see no reason why a better player like McCants wouldn't do the same. I was surprised to see this Draftycity site projecting him falling to the 2nd round---that won't happen.

Never, EVER draft a guy with the last name Gigli !!!! Thanks to Ben Affleck and Jock Blow, aka Bennifer, that name is forever soiled.

I saw Simeon much less, but take it for its worth but despite being shorter, after seeing them quite alot Diogu just has so much more court presence and impact on the game than Turiaf, even despite Diogu receiving more attention from opponents (Turiaf always played with other better scorers to relieve the pressure on him). I was super high on Turiaf 2 years ago, but he just didn't become the force his athelticsm and body should have warrented.

If Ike can measure 6'7", or has long arms, a la Brand, I really like him. He won't be spectacular, but he could be a good, smart, hard nosed NBA PF for a long time. Turiaf is more prototypical in body and attributes for a PF, but for some reason he just didn'y play as dominant. I could see him completely busting more so than Diago (or Simien) from what I have seen. I don't like Frye either (after watching him even more--not a great rebounder and plays a little slow), but apparently some pro scouts do.

I would not say picking up Marshall precludes taking Simien or Diago (or possible Turiaf) either. DM and JH are getting up there in age and we will need new blood in a couple of years. Now if we land Swift or SAR or Reggie Evans--with 5+ years of shelf life, then that pick is most probably not a 4. Turiaf may double a back-up C too.

    Hotballa,

If it wasn't summer time I'd tell you to shut up and go do your homework, but instead I'll answer your question: I was working. Lawyers go to trial. We have a lot of work to do. So, when I'm up late watching games, I go to bed right thereafter instead of hitting the BBS and posting stupid bullsh_t the likes of which we are used to reading from you.

Don't you have some And-1 Mix Tape Tour videos to watch?
