Superstitious person that I am......I must now repeat last night's routine to keep this winning streak alive. Therefore, I will once again have an order of 20 wings from WingZone (10 hot garlic and 10 medium buffalo) and wash them down with 7 Michelob Ultralites while watching the game wearing my lucky boxers and burning candles and incense.
Dude I miss Wing Zone like a mother. Best wings in Austin...... huge fan of the spicy garlic and the teryaki...... Dont count your blessings on the Astros winning streak.... Its going to be a loooooooong summer.
Sure will be. I'm just doing anything I can to get this team to WIN. I recently learned that a couple I am friendly with who live in California will be visiting Houston in July. The wife asked me if I would be able to get Astros tickets, since the husband is a big baseball fan. I told her the team would probably pay us to go to a game!
I don't believe the Astros have ever had the worst record in baseball. I think that's a reasonable goal to shoot for...If you're going down, you might as well go down HARD...
You make fun of my Jack Daniels Hard Cola and loofah, yet you drink Michelob Ultralites and decorate your abode with candles and incense? You sir, are a girlie man. Unless you are drinking that beer out of a goblet, don't even speak to me.
any beer > Jack Daniel's Hard Cola, Zima, Mike's Hard Lemondade, etc. As far as the candles and incense, one has to be in the right state of mind to watch the Astros these days.
I don't have a camera, but I'll be there about 6:45 tomorrow and I do request that you put jeans on over your lucky boxers.
You got the address and you know how to get there. The jeans will be on. Guess that means I need to lower the old temp on the old AC thermostat!
Manager Phil Garner, who isn't superstitious, even altered his routine. On Wednesday he went out for the traditional lineup exchange — a duty he has usually handed this season to his coaches, catcher Brad Ausmus or infielder Jose Vizcaino — while trying to end the rut. Third-base coach Doug Mansolino even opted to use nicknames on the lineup card he posts in the clubhouse. Orlando Palmeiro was listed as "O," Craig Biggio was "Bidge," Lance Berkman was "Franchise," Mike Lamb was "Lamb Shop," Ensberg was "Moe," Vizcaino was "Viz," Ausmus was "B-rod," and Backe was "BB." "I hope this helps so I can write it like this for 10 straight games," Mansolino said. Garner will definitely have Mansolino fill out the lineup card with nicknames until the Astros lose again. "I'm not superstitious, but you never can tell," Garner said. http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/3198854
