4/6/2002, from the thread "A Rockets team the Draft can't fix": This was back before the lottery, when we thought we'd have the 5th or 6th pick rather than #1 (Yao, obviously). Our top options at the time were to trade for Rashard, Odom, or Kandi, or take Butler or Stoudemire with our pick. Given that all of those except Kandi would've been good moves, I think we were doing a pretty good job of fantasy GMing. Does it still kill anyone else that we didn't accept Seattle's terms of Eddie and a #1 for Rashard, even after we got Yao...?
I signed up under some other name during the lockout year, posted a couple of times, but couldn't remember my handle or password (probably both) and lurked for a couple of years. I could never find a handle I was comfortable with other than my own name. I signed up again before 2001-02 but I can't find my first post. I did post under "Kelly_Dwyer" for a while, I think.
I'm too damn embarassed to post it. Something about Marc Jackson (right after the deal crashed) and somehow I started rambling about how Eddie Griffin should play small forward, and how he could provide mismatches at the three. What a dumbass I was.

I found that, but that can't be right. No way I re-registered in February of 1999 and then didn't make my first post until a month later.
Thanks R2K. The one that made it to the front page was just after we drafted Eddie Griffin. I clearly came in with a bang on that first post. I hope I wasn't talking about Tim Duncan or Tim McGrady.
