Keeler isn't dead. And the prez was just shaking hands because a nuke didn't explode. Anyway, I wish I hadn't read that Jack had a contract agreement to do another season, otherwise I would've really believed that he did die. All I could wonder was not if he was dead, but how he was able to get his heart to stop.
Another great season of a great show. 24 has got to be the best action show on TV. It's better than a lot of movies because it's not just 2 hours but 24 of them! Kiefer/Jack is the man!
24 is one of the greatest shows all-time. What a 2 hour finale! It's going to be interesting what the writers will have to come up w/ now that "Jack Bauer" is dead....
Can someone explain to me how Mandy managed to evade capture for 4+ years when they had her freaking face captured on film attempting to kill the President of the United States? She'd be the most wanted person on the face of the planet! Granted she might have just come back into the country recently to help with Marwan's plot, but it seems a little hard to swallow. Then again, that's been the theme of Season 4. Entertaining, but absurd even by this show's standards.
Because that's the way the writers wrote it in the script.... That's the one thing on 24 that you couldn't suspend your belief about?
Come on guys. He was shaking hands with hundreds of people that day, so I'm sure they looked through all photos or footage they could find just as a precaution, but it wasn't near enough to find the perpetrator...not to mention all the people he shook hands with that they didn't have on camera. In other words, they had no idea who attempted the assasination of the president. I'm sure they were smart enough to enter everyone's face they had on camera from that day into the facial recognition database, which is how they were able to identify her. What else do y'all want me to explain?
This was the best 24 ever!!! Loved it and the tie in with the hot chick shaking hans with Palmer, classic 24...I missed the previews/credits at the end of the show, so someone please fill me in... I thought Tony was dead, and Jack as well, so I wonder with him "dead", how the story will play out...My thought is that he'll do it in some third world country, being a hired gun...Over all, a decent season, but the 2nd is still my favorite...
I thought Jack should have been handed over to the Chinese. Then they could brainwash him and make him into their own secret agent. 24, Season 5: Jack vs. CTU. I'm pretty sarcastic when I watch 24. My wife absolutely hates watching it with me because I'm always complaining about this or that (I'm also perplexed about the whereabouts of Behrooz). Yet, unlike new dramas like Lost and Desperate Housewives, it always keeps you at the edge of your seat (and gets to the point) and the writers really did a great job with the finale. Besides, I'd rather watch a show that gets me all riled up rather than puts me to sleep.
I hope Mandy's back...she's like the Boba Fett of 24. Also, in the preview for next season it says Jack's saved the president, a city, the nation, and the world....this leads me to believe only one thing for next season. A band of rogue aliens will invade the earth and Jack will destroy them, and in turn save the UNIVERSE! I can't wait!
I think that promo shortchanged Jack for Season 2. He did save the world that day. In fact, he really saved the world in Season 2 and a city in Season 4. After all, if the nuke hits LA, who does the US retaliate against? Marwan is dead and no one knows if he was connected to any country. BTW, after stopping the alien invasion in Season 5, he'll go up against Satan himself in Season 6.
I'm sitting here watching season 2, and there are two obvious reasons why season 4 was better than the first three. The absence of Kim and Palmer's ex-wife are a definate plus. Both were extremely annoying, as were the storylines they were involved in.
Next season? They may come up with a totally new scenario but I had the feeling they were going to identify the missle that carried the stolen nuke as a Chinese silkworm, obtained from a rogue Chinese general and delivered to Marwan via the guy they stole from the Chinese consulate (we really didn't get exactly what his connection to Marwan was or why he would know where his headquarters were). I really thought that was the leverage they were going to difuse the consulate situation. Also we didn't see agent Brown walk out of the consulate after he betrayed Jack ( I think Jack would have thought he did the right thing so not really 'betrayed'). He was going to be put on a Chinese container/spy ship to be spirited out of the country. Also, Marwan was supposed to be getting out of the country on a ship. I thought the implication was that it was the same Chinese ship But maybe the missle was North Korean and Jack is going after Kim Jong Il next year. Oh and Behrooz is enjoying a well earned vacation at a Carribbean resort.....Guantanimo.
Agree on Kim even though I'd love to skewer her but totally disagree with Sherry. Sherry Palmer is one of the best characters on the show because she plays the antagonist sooooo well. You absolutely love to hate her. If you hate her in Season 2, just wait until Season 3
