I am making a new thread about this so people will catch on quickly.

This is a trick to get rid of the 25 download limit. It basically allows the file to be downloaded an unlimited number of times.

Whenever you upload a file to yousendit, change the D in the d.aspx to an E.

    For example, change:

    http://s42.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=07V741JC9EVPX3RJD4HPGYGDKG

    TO

    http://s42.yousendit.com/e.aspx? id=07V741JC9EVPX3RJD4HPGYGDKG

So once you get the link from yousendit, just change the D in the link to an E before posting it on the forum and you will be good to go.

Good deal if it works but Bit Torrent seems so much better than yousendit could ever be. Can someone explain to me when yousendit is a better option than Bit Torrent?

better? It's not better, it's different - but it is fast & simple, and you can use it if you are at work, at a public pc, etc, and doesn't require people to seed, keep downloads open, etc. I use it to send large files of photos & stuff to people like my parents - they wouldn't know bittorrent if it bit them on the ass. No reason to hate on it - though I sort of don't like this trick - I like yousendit.com and want it to stay operating, which this probably won't help if it catches on on a large scale.

yousendit is great for sharing smaller files quickly.

eventho their limit is 1G...can you imagine how long it would take for multiple ppl to have to reupload a game file for distribution?

bittorrent is better for large files....many ppl can get it all at the same time...while yousendit only give you 25 downloads...and in order to keep the file alive...multiple ppl would have to reupload.

Im with Mr Fisher on this one...try not to use this trick...if we go about bypassing their restrictions...it might effect our use of it.

The only problem I have is that I got DSL, and the upload speed is much slower than the download speed, so that slows down the whole process of uploading files.

If I had T1 or something, I wouldn't mind at all uploading the game files or anything else one I got them.

But oh well, I am content with my connection

I agree. Lets not abuse it. It's free. The webmasters will notice.

Cool trick, just hope it doesn't go too large and cause something to happen to yousendit.

Now I wonder how yousendit makes money. Selling ads? Also do they do virus check? Someone can post a virus there, and say it's rocket top10 play of the year. Just be careful.

    no....it isnt easier.

maybe for little files....but in my case...most of my highlight videos are over 50M...which is the limit for the files allowed on youshareit.

    YallMean,

yousendit scans for virii....while that isnt foolproof by any stretch of the imagination....it isnt like you can just post any old infected file and slip it by them.
They make money on page views/ad clickthroughs.
