    What more can you say?

Under contract for many years. Best season for that franchise in years. Get a cortisone shot in that toe if you need to, but suit up and get ready if your team needs you.

He will have to do a lot of things in his career to clear his reputation as a big game El Foldo.

I don't blame Rashard for not playing because of the toe injury. I think that's a cheap shot. I've had big toe injuries twice and the pain can almost make you cry. You need your big toe for balance and explosion (and just walking).

I DO blame him for not playing well most of the playoffs before the injury. If he and Radmanovich had played to regular season form, the Sonics would have won this series in 6.

It's easy to criticize when you're not the one in pain. The guy couldn't even run and you want him in there against the Spurs?

If he can't take the pain, they have all sorts of shots. At least give it a try to give your teammates a boost (e.g., Willis Reed). It is a little more understandable if it is a broken neck (Irvin) or broken eye socket (Joe Johnson), but a freaken toe, this is a once in a lifetime chance for a professional athlete with BICE SECURE 60+ mil contract.

Does Lewis have a history of sitting out games which he could have conceivably played? If not, then I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

i think i read somewhere that if you chop off your big toe, you wont be able to walk with that leg.

have you ever had a big toe injury?

Wasn't it a dislocated big toe? If so, it just ain't possible to play through.

I messed up my big toe and couldn't walk right for a month. It is 10 times worse than playing with a sprained ankle.
