For all of you who are not familiar with the greatest Rockets team of all time, or for the people who have longed more detailed memories of glory past, then I suggest you pick up a copy of: I bought the book off half.com for like $2. yet the content was priceless: on page 128: The Houston Post publishes " Letters to the Sports Editor". Someone wrote after we lost to the Phoenix in game 2: 4) "Dear Rudy T: May I suggest that you rent Wizard of Oz. Sit all your players down and make them watch it. After the viewing, explain to them that ---like the Tinman, Scarecrow and cowardly Lion--the heart, the brains, and the courage comes from within and not from some wizard" .
ya, its a good read, I actually still have the book. I read this back when it first came out and even wrote a book report on it in 8th grade (1996)
There is a book of quotes of Charles Barkley pre-Rockets that I have read before. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and more importantly, do you know the name of the book?
Wrong title.... and book for that matter. The title of the book that was refered to is: Sir Charles: The Wit and Wisdom of Charles Barkley And the title that QJ23 was thinking is: I May Be Wrong, but I Dought It
"I May Be Wrong, but I Doubt it" by the Sir Charles is a really good read. Talks some basketball, but not all. A lot of politics and social issues. I really enjoyed reading that from Barkely. He made me laugh throughout the book, and I would strongly recomended to anyone. I'm waiting for his new one to get a little cheaper "Whose Affraid of the Big Black Man?" I can't wait.
What is this reading thing you guys are talking about. I'm from the television generation. No need to read. I think we can take baby steps. Clutch bbs on tape Clutch bbs on dvd Cluch bbs video conferencing.
