I just got home and caught the espn news reporting something about being shot, or his brother or his wife. I'm not sure. Maybe I misheard everything cause no one has posted it here...I don't know. Do any of y'all know about this? ------------------

Gunshot wounds not life-threatening -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Associated Press INDIANAPOLIS -- The mother of Denver Nuggets guard Nick Van Exel was ambushed outside her apartment early Friday and shot four times, police said. Joyce Van Exel, 47, was recuperating in an Indianapolis hospital, police said. The woman was shot once in the face, twice in the chest and once in the leg, but her wounds were not life-threatening, said Maj. Mike Turk of the Marion County Sheriff's Department. "The only thing we have right now is that when she got home at about 12:30 a.m., she was approached by a black man who said 'Hi' and then shot her four times," Turk said. "We are searching for a motive and a suspect." The attack occurred in the parking lot at her apartment complex. A spokeswoman for Wishard Hospital, where Joyce Van Exel is recovering, said it could not release her condition. Turk said she was in stable condition and conscious early Friday morning. Two things: 1.) I hope she heals and is back in action soon. 2.) What the hell is Nick Van Exel's mom doing living in an apartment? Nick's been an NBA player for many years now. You'd think he would've gotten his mom a nice home somewhere. Unless it is one of those high rise nice ass apartments I dont know why she would be living in an apartment.
