pray for his family http://www.espn.com he was 49 ------------------ http://www.democrats.com [This message has been edited by dc rock (edited February 18, 2001).]
I just heard from Foxsports and NBA that Earnhardt died from massive chest injuries. This is horrible. I'm not a racing fan by any stretch of the imagination but this is horrible. Man I hope the report is wrong and premature. But this is horrible, and a tragedy. The world is screwed up man. ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
im not a fan of nascar either. but everyone knows who dale earnhardt is. ------------------ http://www.democrats.com
Dale Earhart and Racing are almost one and the same I don't follow the sport at all but . .. man this is deep Rocket River My deepest sympathies ------------------
This is horrible. I'm not auto racing fan, but I know of Dale Earnhardt. The weird thing is that the wreck didn't look that bad on the replay. Not that one can tell from just looking at the TV replay, but had I been watching the race and saw that wreck, I wouldn't have suspected that there was any chance of a fatality. Truly a sad day. ------------------ Houston Sports Board The Anti-Bud Adams Page
O ****! this is very shocking! It's true. This guy was a legend. I really feel sick... ------------------ Sometimes you gotta do the next best thing!
Now a moment of silence for Dale Earnhardt. ------------------ Charles Barkley on TBS on the "fat track" poll: "What? 47% said I'd gain more.....why those.....they better be glad this is a family show."
Rest in Peace, Dale. ------------------ "Happiness is a journey, not a destination. Work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, and dance like no one's watching."
You know "props" to ESPN for putting up huge, glaring, bold letters on their front page saying "Earnhardt Killed in Daytona". Nothing like taking away from the race (something I'm sure Earnhardt wouldn't have wanted), and just using the death of a legend to spark up their page. What a bunch of class acts they are. ------------------ Dream a deadly Dream. . .
It always seems as if a horrible act has to occur before people come together... but for just one night, let's all put our biases aside. Forget the taste war. Raise a Pepsi tonight for Dale. ------------------ Good night everyone, Canadian or American. Just remember that we're all bound together by basketball, the internet and the mullet. (My attempts at trying to sooth over an international incident).
I just read where his son came in second in the race. And the wreck occured in the final turn of the final lap. What a tragedy. I'm shocked. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
What a nightmare! I hope I wake up. Brought a few tears to my eyes. Dale was the best. Unbelievable; terrible tragedy. God speed, Dale Earnhardt. Surf ------------------
