What was your first post about? Here's mine. 10/18/2002.

Not bad for a noobie. ;) This must have been before Yao's first game.

What was yours? Remember to cut and paste it into this thread, don't reply to it and accidently bump up the old thread.

Hmmm... Mine was so long ago. I think it was under the old BBS.. sometime late '97 or early '98. Crazy. I've actually grown up with this BBS. I was 15 at the time! Imagine twenty years from now, all of us still posting...

I love the new unis!! Finally we have unis that don't look like they'll be outdated in 10 years. These unis are as close to looking like the old Colt .45's and the shooting star jerseys as we've had since the rainbow days. They're the first real traditional looking baseball uniforms we've had since the rainbow days. More importantly to the Astros, they had to develop some more traditional uniforms to fit the overall marketing scheme in a throwback park. Hard to match the futuristic look with the old railroad station and the retro-park.

Finally...real uniforms...real grass...real baseball fans!! Baseball fans in Houston can finally rejoice!! Now let's see about getting out of the divisional playoffs!

Good to see that MadMax has used multiple exclamation marks in his posts from the very beginning.

[this used be a picture of Hakeem in his uniform holding an NBA Championship trophy that I removed because I'm new and didnt, but do now, know better]

If Dream decides to leave the Rockets for another team, the day it is announced will be a sad, sad day for Houston.

I hope his sentimental strings are tugging at him and he will decide to end this chapter of his life with poetic justice.

How can one man mean so much to one city?

Lippman: I was just going over the Jake Jarmel book and I understand you worked with him very closely.

Elaine: Yes, krhm, yes I did.

Lippman: And, anyway I was just reading your final edit, um, there seems to be an inordinate number of exclamation points.

Elaine: Well, I felt that the writing lacked certain emotion and intensity.

Lippman: Oh, "It was damp and chilly afternoon, so I decided to put on my sweatshirt!"

    Elaine: Right, well...

Lippman: You put exclamation point after sweatshirt?

Elaine: That's that's correct, I-I felt that the character doesn't like to be ch-ch-chilly...

Lippman: I see, "I pulled the lever on the machine, but the Clark bar didn't come out!" Exclamation point?

Elaine: Well, yeah, you know how frustrating that can be when you keep putting quarters and quarters in to machine and then *prrt* nothing comes out...

Lippman: Get rid of the exclamation points...

    Elaine: Ok, ok ok ...

    Lippman: I hate exclamation points...

    Elaine: ...ok I'll just....

Yeah, I think I've got you all beat for the worst first post ever. This was in a topic about whether or not Ch51 was available on the Dish Network. I didn't realize I lurked for well over a year!

Not that my friends is what I call a quality post! :D

Mine was from 5/27/03, about 7 months after I lurked.

This was during the "Larry Brown Debate," and whether he was too much of a flight-risk:

    Glad that didn't go down!

My first Post July 23, 2000 (re Draft Day trade Najera for Langhi)

Hey this is my first post,& this is something I feel quite strongly about. I realize it's just a Revue game but we shoulda, and I'm sure Rudy did, know the strength of Najera pre-trade. OF COURSE we made a HUGE mistake in trading him! Top of round 2 , this years NCAA tourny, the press is ridin' Eduardo for being weak from outside....in the next game...18 hrs later...the kid sinks 10 3's!!(just 1 example, the guy can ball!) We've made a huge error & I feel the Gods may punish us for it (Besides do we REALLY WANT to help Dallas build a team?)
