Chandler actually knows how to play basketball

Seriously though, Chandler's taller, a shade more athletic, and a lot smarter and fundamentally sound. Both players provide a lot of energy, but Chandler brings it more consistently.

Both go for fakes more than you'd like, which leads to foul trouble, but Chandler's at least improved a little bit in this regard. Anderson has better hands than Chandler, but Tyson's more active around the basket and can put the ball on the floor a little bit... Overall, Tyson just has a much better understanding of the game, especially on the defensive end.

However neither one of them could hit the broad side of a barn shooting the ball.so if they are standing outside the paint its 4 on 5 anyway.

You're not making it sound like there is enough difference to warrant paying Chandler to get what he gives you over what Chris Andersen gives you for probably about $3 million per instead of $8-$10 million for Chandler.

From what I have seen, Chandler seems to be much better. He has an incredible nose for the ball. He pulled down 9.7 rebounds per game in only 27 minutes per game. He blocked 1.7 shots per game in the same amount of time. He's great at finishing around the rim with dunks. Anyone who watches much of the Bulls can tell that he brings so much hustle and energy to the game.

Andersen averaged 6 boards in 20 minutes. His shotblocking numbers are comparable. He's 4 years older than Chandler, and smaller. Andersen has done a good job of doing the most with what he has, but I think Tyson has a much higher ceiling. Chandler is longer, more athletic, taller, and a better rebounder. Andersen is decent, but kind of a sideshow, with the crazy hair and everything. Finally, I don't want anyone with a soulpatch on my team.

I know that both of them respect Yao very much.

Ever since Chandler and Yao participated in the same youth camp a few year ago, he has known that Yao will be a terrific baller. They're old friends.

When Yao missed a game against Hornets near the end of regular season this year, Andersen grabbed 16 rebounds. After they won the game, Andersen said something like: the reason I got so many rebounds was because Yao didn't play.

So I guess either one will not present any chemistry problem.

    That's all.
