Also all this talk about being happy to get Wesley for JJ is confusing since there are two JJ's on that team. Joe Johnson and Jim Jackson.. YES I AM HAPPY we got rid of jim jackson. altho i liked him as a player but he didnt fit in well with our team. But DAMN I CAN ONLY DREAM if the ROCKETS can get Joe Johnson this off season. He's the perfect fit since he plays point and two guard and sf.. I think he's got great potential. Look at his career stats he improves every year. I also think he plays under control which is exactly what JVG likes. Anyways IM DREAMING..

Amare is freaking awesome. I use to be a little bitter b/c he and Yao were in the ROY running, but I love watching the guy play...he's so relentless, sort of Hakeem-like. :) He's improved his midrange game a lot in 2 years, hell, I can't imagine what' it'll look like in 4-5 years! He's improving every year like Yao...scary stuff.

Maybe it's just me but I think Amare is more athletic than Lebron. He doesn't have the court vision or quite the same ability to create his own shot, but I've never quite seen somebody that can not only jump high but jump in the air so fast. He reminds me a lot of the raw athleticism Hakeem had in his earlier days. Just a beast around the basket who eventually developed an outside game to complement that athleticism. Again Amare doesn't have the same deadly footwork Hakeem had, but just pure athleticism he's right up there. The man's potential is so high. He's an arrogant guy but attitude aside I love the man's game.

Actually, I am starting to like Suns, their basketball is soo exciting.

Of course they are against Mavs, so I will root for them all the way.

I watched the game too, and liked what Amare did in this game, no nonsense, all game. I am not sure whether there are still people questioning Nash. Whether he deserves the MVP honor. Just look at him play, it's amazing, shooters only need to get ready to catch the ball once it's kicked out, Amare only need to get ready for dunks. Amare had 13 field goals, 9 or 10 are dunks, and Nash dished him 7 or 8. Look at the fourth quarter charge from the Mavs, you just think they are going to come on top, Nash just drawed the defense, and kicked out for 2 3 balls, two times! That's how basketball is supposed to be played. The only problem with Suns is their thin bench, I can't imagine that they can keep the energy even if they edged out the Mavs. Jim Jackson was huge in fourth quarter, and blocked the second best center from behind:)

I only caught the latter part of game 3 but Nash played freakin crazy.

When i first started watching, the mavs were gaining on the suns at the start of the 4th quarter. In comes Nash. And all of a sudden, the momentum shifted JUST LIKE TAHT.

There was one moment in the 4th quarter where he drove the ball inside, didn't find an opening, took it back outside, drove it again (against Dampier of all ppl), and kicked it out to an open Marion in the corner for the 3. Then on another play, he did a left hand hook over Dirk. I thought he absolutely TOYED with the mavs that time in the 4th quarter. Absolutely RIDICULOUS.

I was always a fan of Nash's game but I think as far as playmaking abilities, he has improved greatly. He needs to shoot more tho.

I couldn't have said it any better. I hate this series just because I know that one of those teams will win. My hatred of both teams the past few years has grown. The fan arguments (Marbury vs SF.......Yao vs Stoudamire ROY ) really got on my nerves. It made me despise a team that I only had fond playoff memories of :). Once upon a time I actually didn't hate Dallas(probably pity...I felt sorry for them cuz they sucked SO bad for SO long and somehow got rooked out of the first pick year after year). Then they were bought by that Ass....we declined and started sucking....they became respectable and their fans cocky... now they knocked us out of the playoffs:mad: . It also doesn't help that they play for the same city as the Cowboys. uggg.....I don't really care who wins. I just hope whoever does gets stomped by the Spurs.

    and I hate the damn Spurs:mad: .

    oh yea
Dallas stomping us repeatedly during the SF years didn't exactly make me love them either.

What have the Suns done to Terry? The guy went from hitting over 60% of his 3-point attempts in the first series against Houston, to hitting only 11% of his 3-pointers against the Suns.

Oh, and Amare is a freak of nature. He's got the cat like quickness of Garnett with the power game of Shaq.

They make Terry play defense on EVERY possesion... simple as that. I actually saw his shot suffer (albeit, "suffering" was still hitting around 50%) when Mike James would force him to play some defense. Hell... Avery even decided to go with Darrell Armstrong, instead of JT, to guard James in games 6 and 7 because JT would become useless when he was out there (on both ends).

Also, Amare is great... but last night's game alone is the perfect example of how great Nash can make you. Not that there's anythng wrong with that, because he still got all his blocks on his own, and his ability to finish strong is all him... but Nash puts him in the perfect location on offense every single time.

Could you imagine Nash-Amare vs. Tracy-Yao for at least the next 3-4 years? I would LOVE to see that WCF, let alone just a two-on-two game between those guys (Yao's slowness cancels out Nash's shortness... so its pretty even).

The best thing about all of this is that Dallas has to be thinking, "The best we've got right now (and for the forseeable future) is Dirk... and he's not as good as Tracy, Yao, or Amare... and they're all younger than him."

Yes, Amare played great. But the power game of Shaq? Come on, Shaq's power game was posting up against double team, and still dunking in your face, not those in-rotation-fed-by-your-MVP-PG-easy-dunks.

I said before the series, to slow down a great offensive player, the best way is to make him play defense. That's why Artest is good, because not only he can stay with you at defense, but he's so strong and has a good offensive game to force you to spend energy on defense, that's why he can slow down any wingman. But Bowen all defensive team? Just overrated, all he has is undercuting opponents.

A big reason he gets so many wide open dunks is because of his cat like quickness. That's why he's such a tough guy to guard. Put a big guy on him and he'll get himself open for easy dunks all game long with his quickness and athleticism. Put a little guy on him, and he'll overpower them and dunk in their face. When he has the ball in his hands, you can see the fear in the eyes of the guy that's guarding him.

exactly. if getting dunks was because of nash, then every pf with a good point guard would dunk all day long. and if getting dunks just required having an athletic pf, then every pg would be assisting them all day long. it takes two to tango. the guy who can find you no matter the angle and the guy who can seem to get separation any time he wants to. amare has to give nash the angle to get it to him as much as nash has to find him. together they're just ridiculous. has anyone ever so consistently gotten dunks from one person like this? only karla and flopton seemed to get as many assists, but karla didn't dunk much. and shaq usually just gets his own dunks. but these two, it seems every 5 minutes amare's getting another dunk off the pnr. damn it's fun to watch.

and somehow stackhouse managed to get himself caught under two of amare's dunks. good thing he didn't get his hand up on the second one b/c amare would've ripped it off.

Of course he's super athletic, and lots of fun to watch. My only point was regarding your comment about "Shaq's power game". I don't think Amare is anything like Shaq, and his points in the paint was not because of postup games or Shaq's power game, it's athelticism and Nash's great passes. Besides, he's tough to guard because he's quick and he'll get into open positions, and Nash's passes will hit him perfectly. With Suns deadly 3 pointer shooting, Mavs can't afford to double Amare. However, while Dallas fronted him a lot, guarding him at post wasn't anything really scary.

One more thing I would like to mention is, in a couple of sequences in the 4th quarter, Nash tried to pass to him or lob to him, because of defense, those attemps ended up as turnovers for Nash. Of course, if Amare gets perfect positions, those would be great passes. However, Nash kept going to him, despite his turnovers number ended up with 7. I can't say that Rockets guards are determined or gutsy enough to do that consistantly with their own big fella.

No D Irk Niwuzzky will have no chance to stop Amare at all, so I think Amare would average 35 points at least against the sorry D Allas put up.

Sad, but true. Our guards (Sura, Wesley, James etc) first of all don't have the passing skill, nor do they have court vision to locate the big guy.

Without Nash, Amare is only half as good. If they got to the finals, it's because of Nash.

Thats just hate. Just as a another poster said, it takes 2 to tango.
Maybe you should watch some suns game. Then u will see just how good Amare is. Nash doesnt play 48 mins a game. He has to spend some time on the bench. Amare just doesnt start playing crap without nash on the floor. He takes over. And with a Seattle Suns Final most likely to happen, to play Miami. Suns have a huge chance for the NBA title. And it will be because of the whole team. Not just because of Nash.
