He's currenty +1 playing the 16th and the projected cut line is even par. His insane record of 142 consecutive cuts made is in serious jeopardy.

He just made bogey on 18,after making birdie on 16, basically ending the streak. To put it in persepective, Tiger had made 142 straight cuts the second longest streak was 19 by Ernie Els.

i cannot F'ing believe it. after everything that went wrong during those down years, he somehow kept this alive. no matter the struggle, he somehow made it to the weekend. and now he starts a tourney -1, seemingly a sure thing to make the cut, and now i just watched sportscenter and they showed him missing it. i thought for sure once they said he birdied 16 he would make it and i just kept waiting for the putt on 18 to turn in. i can't believe it's over b/c it's not the type of thing you can really start again and get it back up there. he'll probably miss another one in the next 10 tourneys or so.

weird that he misses it with his game going well right now.

i hope you forgot the ;) ... but in any case i will agree that one thing that i wish tiger did is play a lot more like vijay... i think playing a closer number of tournaments would give a better comparison between the golfers...

Exactly, the only reason anyone is even close to Tiger in the world rankings is because he plays so few events unlike Vijay who get points every week.

Every streak eventually ends, it's inevitable.
I guess he could have died or gone Bobby Jones with it still active.

But he has a major already on the books for 05 and the possibility for the Gramd Slam so I think he will be OK.

I'd be fine with just flying home on my G5 to Elin a couple of days early.

Did you think you'd get the scoop anywhere other than cf.net?
