Woohoo for me!! I graduate tommorow with a BS in Economics from the University of Htown!! I am so happy!! Time for the real world
Don't do it man! Get a minor, get some more electives GET A PHD! The real world sucks compared to college.
Are you going to go to graduate school? I ask because a friend of mine was always griping about how he couldn't do anything with his economics degree without getting an advanced degree. But then he was weird....
congrats on the graduation. i graduated last year. i made a half-hearted effort to get a job throughout the semester but finally just settled on grad school to avoid the real world a while longer. since there's no way i can fake caring about learning long enough to get a phd, it's one more year and then the real world for me. grad school ain't that bad, only 2 or 3 classes each semester (and one has been easy each semester) and some research, but i research like i look for jobs so that hasn't been as bad as i'm sure it is for most grad students. and hey, they pay me! so grad school is definitely a good way to avoid the real world if you can get in.
Are you sure you're graduating? You haven't forgotten about that one class that you registered for and never went to, and the final is TODAY and it started 15 minutes ago and OMG you've forgotten how to get to the room where the final is being hosted, and once you get there you realize you don't remember how to answer a single question on the exam...? I'm just asking, is all.
I gotta sit through the grad thing tomorow ! And i didn't graduate. Damn, I gotta sleep, it starts in 7hrs, ugh.
That actually happened to my sister (well, not the being late for the final part...she remembered a couple of days before despite only going to the first class). She showed up at the Ferrell Center at Baylor having no clue if she somehow passed the final two days before. She had to check the program to make sure we all didn't make the trip for nothing.
I still wake up in the morning sometimes wondering if there is an exam I missed or if I'm going to fail...then I remember that I graduated 3 years ago.
