Guys, I am looking for a seasoned desktop support tech to hire. It's downtown houston with a stable/growing energy company. I would prefer 2-3 years experience at least and Lotus Notes experience. Travel will be 10% or less. If you know anyone or are interested - shoot me an email - sonny_sims@yahoo.com
This "Lotus Notes" post goes in the "VHS Trouble" thread. Who still uses Lotus Notes? Who still uses VHS? I do the latter. Travel to where? I don't want to go back to Mexico just now.
I've actually been in more environments where they use Lotus Notes than Exchange. Even most of the Exchange environments have Lotus Notes just for the databases. I dont particularly care for Lotus Notes but it is still widely used.
DAMN you, same-place-I-work-for. That's what I get for being here for 10 years... I don't know the "real" world... ummm... do you need a web developer or a website?
I am not the biggest fan of Lotus Notes, but the databases are it's strong point. It is actually what keeps them around in most shops. You can run Outlook with a Lotus Notes Connector also.
Very little travel. Support of in-house and field users. PC builds with Ghost, troubleshooting help desk tickets, software installs, etc. Looking for a mid-senior type with 3-4yrs experience. But could consider someone greener if they fit.
I'm not sure this is for you MasterBaiter, 10% travel means that there will probably be a need for some ability to act PC. Not your strong suit.
Can you give me an idea of the pay scale (just a ballpark). I am probably overqualified, but if it pays enough...
It would depend on the skills, etc. Shoot me an email with your info if you want, I might be able to give you a better idea.
Yeah maybe you can teach me that two handed technique you use to jerk off your bosses. Then I could be as PC as you.
Beautifully done, Master. I like that response. Sonny, you wouldn't give Master Baiter a chance? How about me? Is it because I answer this way in a BBS that you think I would behave the same way with a customer? Master Baiter, I say you send him an email under ANOTHER name and don't mention the BBS to him until you get the job.
