i live in boston. if you email me i'll see if we can meet up. i'll buy you a drink and we can talk about the rockets.
tickets are expensive, but the park is really beautiful anyway let me know, i've never really met another bigtime rockets fan. i think it'd be cool hm... i noticed my email wasn't current, updated it
It looks like you are swinging through Chattanooga. You can stay with us while you can "See Rock City" or better. They have some good class IV rapids about 45 minutes from here where the 96 Olympics were held. Also lots of hiking, climbing, handgliding, etc. Let me know if you are interested.
I'm a little disappointed that you chose boring Dallas over a swing through Beaumont. I woul dhave been glad to take you to lunch
Most definitely. Shooting pictures and blogging the experience is one of the reasons I'm doing it. Just me, my Nikon and my laptop with wi fi.
All these offers makes me wonder how many offers for places to stay you'd have if you decided to visit china... the americans of this bbs are going to the great wall of china next summer.... prepare chinese bbs members for our arrival.
Stay away from Arkansas. You know all of those jokes & stereotypes you hear about it? They're all true.
If you enjoy a pretty mountain drive, head east from DC to Front Royal VA and head south on Skyline Drive through the Shenandoah National Park, which then turns into the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Blue Ridge runs pretty close to the Greensboro/Winston-Salem area. Much better than Interstate 95 so long as you are not in a hurry.
Jeff, That is an awesome idea, may I suggest that you try to get to Austin too, it would be great to meet you in person. DD
Ok, so plans have changed. I started weighing the cost of the plane ticket and my desire to really make this about the trip rather than the locations I'm going and I've decided to drive the whole mutha! Woo hoo! I wanted it to be sort of a "city tour" passing through a lot of places - a sort of a driving tour - something I've always wanted to do. Plus, it will help me decide where I'd like to go back and visit for an extended period of time. So, four days on the front end going through the following cities (not sure where I'll stop each day, but this is the whole list of major cities)... Little Rock, AR St. Louis, MO Indianapolis, IN Dayton, OH Columbus, OH Akron, OH Cleveland, OH (Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) Erie, PA Buffalo, NY Rocheter, NY Syracuse, NY Albandy, NY Springfield, MA (Basketball Hall of Fame) Boston, MA The return trip over 10 or 11 days (same as the other)... Providence, RI (Batman Jones ) New York, New York Newark, NJ Trenton, NJ Philadelpha, PA Baltimore, MD Washington, DC Richmond, VA Raleigh/Durham, NC (giddyup ) Knoxville, TN Nashville, TN Memphis, TN (Manny in there somewhere ) Little Rock, AK (back through) Dallas, TX --- Whew!
Syracuse is a he11 hole. I spent about a month there last Spring and let me assure you that it's not worth stopping there. I've never been so cold in April in my life.
