There's a lot of anxiety on this board over our offseason needs at PG and PF. We also could use another versatile swingman. I think we've all forgotten a very important event that occured at some point in the offseason last summer: The Orlando/Kansas City Magic agreed to be our farm system.

Obviously all of this is a little "hush hush," and we know they've yet to let their fans know about it. I heard from a friend in O-town that the local cable company blacked out all of the national broadcasts of the Rockets so that the Orlando/Kansas City media could continue to propogate the myth that McGrady is a selfish, one dimensional player. But that's neither here nor there.

So what should we do this offseason? First, I don't think Steve is ready to come back up yet, but we could really use Kato. Keeping Steve in Orlando/Kansas City is probably an important part of us not blowing our cover as well. Second, we should probably bring up teen sensation Dwight Howard, Jameer Nelson, Grant Hill, and Deshawn Stephenson. We'll send down Moochie Norris, Vin Baker, Braggs, Weaterspoon, and we'll throw in Sura to make it look legit. Our lineup should look like this:

    PG- Nelson
    SG- McGrady
    SF- Hill
    PF- Dwight Howard
    C- Yao Ming

    Bench:
    Wesley
    James
    Barry
    Mutumbo
    Stephenson
    Cato
    Juwan Howard

    IR- Padgett, Bowen

This seems fair, equitable, and realistic to me. Of course this will leave Orlando with too many players so they'll have to send a few down to our AA team, the New York Knicks.

Everyone can now rest easy this offseason. Happy 05-06.

Wow, a blatant crack at Orlando management as well as Orlando's impending move to KC and I cheer no one up. So much for glass half full sarcasm.

Thanks for the suggestion. I know on other bulletin boards sarcasm is written in blue. Maybe that'd be a good practice to start here...

It was cute. Are you old enough to be a '50's - (early) '6o's Yankee fan?

Hey I just realized that besides having no idea that blue equals sarcasm that blue text viewed in the dark side gives one a headache.
