I was wondering if it was possible to take music off of Napster and burn it onto a CD. If so, how? I can't figure out how to save my downloaded songs into a regular file like "my music" or "my documents". Any help would be appreciated, as I am fairly computer illiterate. Also, is it possible to download an entire sountrack or album in one transfer, rather than track by track? ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death." Actually, when you download a song off of Napster, it is saved to your hard drive somewhere. So, it's a matter of finding out where those songs are saved and then burning the files to CD. Now, most audio CD players won't play MP3s, so you have to convert the MP3 files to another format that the CD players can read (I think that .wav files work, but you know, I've never burned a CD of music.) ------------------ Houston Sports Board The Anti-Bud Adams Page
When you are logged onto Napster go: FILE>PREFERENCES>then you'll see several tabs Choose DOWNLOADING... you'll be able to choose what folder you want to save it into. As far as making it into a CD it all depends on what kinda CDR you have. I have a Hewlett Packard and it only records from other CDs (Audio) or WAV files. So I found another program that converts MP3s into WAVs, save those into a WAV folder then make my audio CD. It all depends how your CDR works. Heres a great sight for all kinda CD ripping/MP3 converting stuff http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/ I have so many damn MP3s I just keep them in a CD until its full then play my MP3s for hours using my Winamp. I rarely make CDs anymore. MP3s are tha bomb! Good Luck! ------------------ Whatever you want to do, you have to do something else first.
it's possible but then it's like a cassette tape (you can't easily skip or repeat tracks) and most people only do this for comedy acts or live performances. ------------------
most new cd burning programs can convert mp3s directly to CD-audio so you don't have to make them into .wav files first. saves a lot of time. ------------------
