I was born in San Antonio and lived there for many years until I moved to Houston when my father got a job at HL&P, so I have some sympathetic rooting interest for the Spurs, that's my hometown team. Ok, let the flaming begin..
I definitely hope the Spurs beat the Sonics. Whether I root for them in the next round depends on who wins the other series.
WTF!!!!!!! You idiots cheering for Spers can't be true Rockets fans. Spers and their gay ass fans can go to hell!
Sorry that I don't share your vitriolic bigotry, but don't question whether I am a true Rockets fan. I was in the chatroom still telling people to not give up when were down freaking 30 points last night, so don't talk to me about being a true fan. When the Rockets are eliminated, I will root for other teams that I like, including the Spurs. My grandmother was a die hard Spurs fan living in San Antonio, she passed away just last month. If the Spurs win another title, I will consider it one more for her. So, go ahead and call me an idiot if you want to, but I'm secure in my true Rocket fandom, and I think just about anybody who spent any time around me in person or in the chatroom can back me up on that.
Whatever man, you're tripping. I was born and raised in San Antonio for years until I moved to Houston. Of course I cheer for the Rockets, but I was given birth to in San Antonio, so I still have a special connection with that city.
26 pt lead with 3:05 remaining in the half! Its good to be on the OTHER SIDE of a point difference! er...cough, cough Rockets! Go Sperse Go! Go Tacos and Mexican food and the River Walk and beer! GO! GO! GO!!! and Go for my neighbors right now who are blasting Vicente Fernandez and the grill going full on!!!!!
Don't be angry the Spurs are still in the playoffs and the Rockets aren't. There is only 1 winner and 29 losers. Soon the Mavs will be eliminated also if that makes you feel better.
I hate the Suns, but I hate the mavs more. I want to see the Suns sweep the Mavs, then the Spurs sweep the Suns. Then (I hate to say it) I want to see the West win it all (spurs). Atleat that way a Texas team will stay in the spotlight.
You have to root for somebody when your team is gone. In any game, you should have some rooting interest, it makes the game intriguing.
Man, if I didn't think that Clutch and the rest of hte staff was on high alert because of your loss, I'd start a "Go Banana!" thread in tribute to the Simpsons. Instead, I will just return to the shadows.
