I share your frustration with Yao...but he has improved, and he was not the problem. Fact is, he's a weapon that causes teams problems. Why trade that for someone who will not be that? We need to get better, not worse. For all the things we hate about Yao, he still has many things that we love....namely that he is 7 feet 6 inches tall and is nearly unstoppable when he does catch the ball.
i wasnt asking for olajuwon to play but to coach yao. however if he said that he was through with the nba then there is no use in wanting that. this is not a knee jerk response though. i always felt like ewing was not a good coach for yao. and i still dont respect van gundy. sorry, candy coated rox lovers. THE Rockets are perfect!!! WE Will win next SEASON!!! is that what you want to hear? morons
yes fire van gundy. seriously. i never said anything bad about tmac though. he`s the only legitimate star on the team.
Dude....the post you responded to was a sarcastic one. You need to go back and spend some time with the theory of relativity. Geez... Off-season, thy name is HELL!!!
yes, i completely agree. however, one must wonder why he gets into the situations of guarding guards. it goes back to coaching (van gundy) or yao`s lack of sense. i go with van gundy. but rockets do need a power forward since yao isnt olajuwon and isnt very good at dirty work. if we fill that spot then i am confident we can go all the way. love, TROLL sheesh..
first of all, yao has no vertical. so he isnt jamming it down anyone`s throat. second, HIS GAME IS THE JUMPSHOT GAME. gee, i dont know any successful jumpshooter big men.. hmm.. Tim Duncan, Olajuwon, KG... but they suck right? If Yao is more comfortable shooting jumpers then let him do so. who is going to be able to guard a 7`6 jumpshooter? that`s what makes Dirk so deadly. Olajuwon had an automatic fadeaway. unstoppable b/c he was 6`10. if yao had the physical ability to bang down low then fine. but he obviously doesnt. and a 7`6 center who attempts layups is just pitiful. he should be dunking it everytime. doesnt that say anything to you people???!!! he has problems working that into his game. I also posted earlier that i thought he was out of his element in the playoffs. let him play his game and slowly work the inside game.
thats b/c (just like yao) you`re too scared/stupid to have an opinion. you sheep. (trolls eat sheep for dinner)
oh really?!! (sarcastic) i wonder why i inserted the word "seriously" right after the first statement. (sarcastic)
I've heard it all. After game 7, a caller to 610 ripped into Yao and wouldn't give him any credit at all for game 7 or game 5. Why? Because all he did was dunk. Now einstein says he doesn't dunk enough! Yao will never be able to satisfy everybody no matter what he does. einstein, Yao dunked plenty in this series. He didn't take that many jump shots either. He either dunked, got tip ins or did his slow motion spin move. All of these work quite well when you are 7'6. Take a deep breath. Yao has improved throughout the year and his playoff averages weren't bad. Next year, Yao will be even better. Will he be good enough for people like you? Probably not. If he averages 23-24 pts, 9-10 rebs, more blocks, plays 36 minutes a game and cuts down on the cheap fouls and silly turnovers, I'll be happy. I also expect him to have a few more assists. I don't know if Yao will ever have a "breakout" type of year. He will steadily improve to at least a borderline superstar level. If that isn't good enough for people like you, tough. You are entitled to your opinion though you are very mistaken.
no no no. i give him credit for about 3 games out of the series, and i agree that he has improved, and if he avgs 20 and 10 then i will be very happy. but the costly turnovers and stupid fouls are what hurt us. and yes, i will never be satisfied with yao being a "borderline superstar" i expect him to be unstoppable one day. that is why i'm so critical of him falling down and fumbling the ball, missing dunks, TRYING TO TAKE CHARGES, setting moving picks.
Rockets lost because their "team" wasn't good enough. Yao and McGrady carried them to 3 victories. Now we just need some guys who can step up and carry us to one more to get out of the first round.
if i was yao,i see this thread,i wil go..... i think kings or jazz mabey his better choise, and houston's better choise is a strong pf and a good pg ,raising tmac to a champion.
man, you aren't asian, einstein was was jewish, doesn't that mean you should be rooting for Stern? and since when does being asian mean you have to root for yao? you saying that probably means you aren't asian.
