Anyone else enjoying this kickass weather in Houston? Dark skies filled the horizon when I woke up. It had been black and gloomy all morning and started to rain shortly after noon and just now a huge thunder clap had me thinking if this was all just coincidence :)

This has to be one of the worst weekends in Houston in history. Rockets get embarrassed by 40 points in a game 7, Astros get slaughtered by the Braves twice and the weather is horrible. You see that line of severe weather on the radar? That crap is coming and will just add the misery.

This weekend deserves a name. How about Mother's day massacre of 05?

Same weather here in College Station. I'm waiting for my network card to get fried.

This is gorgeous weather for the mourning period following the season's end.

It's also good weather for canoeing.

yep... was coming home from work and pulled into the harris county appraisal district parking lot

but the water on the feeder streets was a bit much for the lexus

so I figure I'll be here a while, but then ran over the curb next to me and then waded through the lawn of the appraisal district building and then popped back out on the street next to it and went home

It's been cool weather all day. Around 4am this morning it started misting here, and it's been heavy downpours most of the day.

We got that string of storms about 4-5 hours ago here in Austin. There are more tornado warnings for Mason county, just west of Austin, so I expect it to get here in the next couple of hours.

Electricity finally back up. It went down shortly after I made that post up there. :(

God is angry with Houstonians for some reason.

I don't think God cares about the Astros, the Rockets, or any other professional sports franchise.

He might have a sense of humor though. Farts are Exhibit A.

Lights went out at Fry's for a few minutes...only thing that was working were the emergency exits, and registers, and a few select lights.

Not fun weather if you're driving a two seater sports car that rides inches from the concrete.

    Sincerely,

LonghornFan sitting on the side of Beltway 8 for over an hour due to zero visibility and a flooding freeway.

Big shout out to Sirius radio, though. Horrible weather, but I never lost the connection and the comedy channel kept the spirits quite deece. Sirius friggin' rawks!

Heh, the registers probably have their own diesel powered backup generator. All the lights may go out but they can still continue to check out customers :p

Is the bad weather over or is there more on the way?
