Thats what Bill Worrell said that Dennis told him that Vassilis Spanoulis will be ready to join the Rockets next year. I have a feeling Mike James will not be back since he doesn't fit JVG's typical PG, he is a past first PG.

Nah, I think Mike James will still be here. He's the spark that we need off the bench. Who else can do that for us?

Ha. Mike James is the point guard you suspect will be gone? Not Charlie Ward? Not Moochie Norris? I think we have better options to be rid of. Mike James is still a great player to come off the bench and bring energy and scoring.

Do you really think this Vassilis Spanoulis guy will have a big impact on the team next year even though he has NEVER PLAYED ONE GAME in the NBA? Let's be realistic and realize free agency is the key to improvement. Maybe this guy can help us somewhat down the line.

by the way, I'd love to see Spanoulis contribute next season, but yeah, I can't imagine DEPENDING on him to contribute.

Mike James gone? I hope not - considering he's one of the few (only?) offensive spark plugs we have coming off the bench.

Mike James is the only Rockets player other than McGrady and Yao who can create his own shot.

This is also why we lost.

From what I've read, Spanoulis had an excellent season over in the Euroleague. He is supposedly a tough PG that has improved his shooting quite a bit.

It will be exciting to see him play in person. If things work out, maybe we can deal Sura or James and pick up another solid scorer.

Wo way can we give up MJ's athleticism. We'll be hard pressed to find 2 or 3 other young athletes along with the PF.

    Forget this guy.

Let's sign Marko Jaric and try to get an athletic PF.

same udrich is a good player but spanoulis hopefully better defender..i dont' know i don't mind hoping for him to be good.

Spanoulis and James ..I'm hoping he's quick btw.

I don't really want Sura next season

Sura is an energy player who brings an attitude to the Rockets that mean toughness. But, somewhere this season, Sura has started that tough decline in his play. He's become more and more inconsistent.

If this guy in Europ Spanouslis is ready and he can add speed and defense to this team, then he would have to come and join the team.

I think that Mike James is the ideal guy you want coming off the bench. He comes into a game and can score. He is going to have 2 or 3 years left before he get to the start of the decline of his career that comes at about 32 or 33. So, there is no way we get rid of James.

I say what type of trade value does Sura have? Because if Spanoulis is ready, and he can improve the team, then I say bring him in and let's trade Sura, who is about 33 or 34.

Sura or Wesley will be gone next season, most likely Wesley in preference for a taller more athletic 2 guard.

    Mark my words.
