Shows that he's playing hard and fighting to keep the team in it. He could have just given up and started complaining like many other players

If we can cut that lead from 15 to 8 or better before the 4th, we have a good chance of knocking their asses out!

They need to play Mutombo much more in the 2nd half because giving up 59 points in the 1st half is flat out horrible.

We made up 20 points in a hair less than a quarter in Game 6. I would have loved to have seen them make that last shot, but I'll take only being down 15.

The Mavs have played out of their minds - give them credit. Finley, Howard and Terry have been unbelievable. Everything has been falling for them. We are very lucky to "only" be down 15 at this point.

I didn't like seeing McGrady pick up the T, but he was clobbered on that play by Dampier.

If we lose, the story line will be about McGrady not winning. Inevitable. The media loves to tear down a superstar if they can, even if it's not justified.

Dirk has been really slowed by our defense in this series. Just worked.

Padgett shouldn't see the court unless we want coal turned into diamonds to help the Van Gundy fund. We need defensive energy and scoring from other players. Padgett has contributed zero offensively himself due to the pressure. Other than that, let's play D get the ball inside and kick ASS.

Do I dare say to put Spoon out on Dampier? He can also set those picks that Yao keeps moving on...

...or so the refs say..

Did anyone else see the UNBELIEVABLY OBVIOUS FLOP that Dirk executed on Yao's 3rd foul (3:30 to go in 2nd)???

Jesus Christ he started moving a good second before Yao got anywhere close to him, and then wandered out of bounds like he got popped in the jaw.

I'm not exactly mad at the REFS, but Dirk is a freaking p***y for doing that stuff. Real players don't have to cheat to win.

The irony is that it took a mobile athletic team like Dallas to expose our aging backcourt.

The only keep from this group, IMO, is Mike James. I think Sura and Wesley especially will be expendable if the right backcourt player comes along; especially Wesley, I would REALLY like to see an above 6'5" player at that position. The guy plays hard but he is over and done.

Anyways, back to the game, sorry to go off topic

It will take a TRUE Clutch City comeback to win this one. But I still believe it is doable.

I cut him from my NBA 2k5 team. He was my starting PG, but I feel sick having him on my squad.

we need to set them straight in the third.

first thing to do is make a statement foul a la bob sura on howard. let them know that we are the tough ones.

yeah wesley is good but he can't guard all 3 of their guards at the same time!

imo we need to get rid of sura. keep mike james as backup.
we need a point guard who is quick and can handle the ball and can pass set up people..has to be able to shoot..jamaal tinsley like but better shooter. Or we could just get a combo guard who's decent at everything..all around aaron mckie like..

We need an athletic swingman. But man imagine when we get him. He and Tmac will be crazy from both sides attacking the basket. They will be getting easy buckets. And he will help play defense and rebound..do all the hustle stuff. I'd get an athletic young guy out of college or high school..who has a decent shot. Hakim Warrick

Power forward. I'm fine with SAR or Donyell Marshall. A guy who can draw double teams..a guy who can shoot open shot..plays defense and solid rebounder.

Yao and a good power forward inside..Howard's good btw but we need another one too..and we'll be great inside..

    And outside.

But this game is not over. We go on a 10-0 run..and then only down by 5..and it's a new game. We can do it. Just don't let them score. And keep on playing..ball movement..getting good shots..get it to Yao for easy stuff!

Agreed. Rockets role players 4 - 16 in the first half. That's not going to get it done. Two of Wesley, Sura, James and Barry need to have huge second halves for the Rockets to have a chance.

The defensive problem is not on our center position. Our guards simply can't defend quicker opponents in the first half. I hope they will do a better job in the second half.

The Rockets have given up 20 point 4th quarter leads in the playoffs before, and they had Hakeem Olajuwon.

No reason Dallas couldn't do the same, especially with Yao and Tracy on the other team.

We're not down 20, and we have TWO quarters to make it up.

    No reason not to believe.
