He improved on his shot this year and shot at 39% from 3s. He can jump out the gym and would be great on defense. The best thing is that his contract is only worth 2 million this year and will be a FA next year. I've been watching this guy for a while and he seems like the perfect fit for this team. He doesn't need the ball to be effective and he is basically a josh howard with a deadly shot. What do yall think of this guy as a back up for T-Mac or our starting 3 with T-Mac moving back to the 2?

According to Rex Chapman (TNT) and Spero Dedes (NBA TV), he's already signed with the Pacers for the playoffs.

I thought the guy they were talking about looked a lot like James Jones, but I've learned not to question telejournalists.

I think Got em is refering to the 6'6" swingman from the Lakers that likes to shoot 3s from the corner. I agree, he would either be a great SG/SF playing along side T-Mac or as his back-up.

Sure, but what about Devean George? The Lakers seem like they'll going to lose either JJ, DG, or Butler.

I think George lost his 3 point shot. He just doesn't seem confident anymore. I just Jones can even play the 4 when we go small since he's an atheletic 6'8.

Can nail the three, plays tough defense, and is big and strong and rebounds really well. He would be guarding dirk right now if we had him.

If we added him to our team it would be a huge plus because wesley is a pretty good defender but he's really undersized and many teams have tried to exploit it. Jumaine Jones would help us tremendously in that department and he'd give us another solid defending guard

they are both horrible especially george who has lived off of kobe and shaq and has a horrible contract. the lakers would love to drop that dead weight on the rockets. jones has shot well but is streaky and is too in love with the 3 ball, doesnt play the defense that he could (like when he was in philly) and doesnt attack the rim that often.

if there is any player on the lakers that we may have a realistic shot at i'd prefer luke walton he can do a bit of everything

Ha! You'd think Rex would know better.
