ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Mavericks 5/7/2005 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 7)

THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO SAY. THE TOUGHER TEAM WILL WIN. thats how the playoffs work. can you remember a soft team making a playoff run?

 

We are the better team. When they win, they need the refs as their 6th man and they beat us by 2 points. When we win, it's been by a double digit point spread. We can outscore them and out defense them. Game 7 is ours.

 

Maybe Yao is losing sleep over the whole Van Gundy situation since it involved him... He just looked sluggish last night...

He seems like an overly conscientious kid -maybe he was feeling bad about the whole thing and couldn't sleep...

Plus just being in the playoffs (especially in a tight series like this one) is enough to make you lose sleep...

 

We will win the game!!! No second result!

Does anyone have a pic of that big guy they kept showing that was sitting in the front row on the TNT broadcast. He was wearin like a pink or white button down shirt. Every 3 pointer or good play they would show him doing the barry and sura "3" hand sign with both hands and screaming at the top of his lungs. The guy was going nuts. Im pretty sure he was drunk or buzzing, but man, that is how the fans in the bottom row should be.

My first prediction for Rockets playoff:

TMac 32pts.

Yao 27pts.

I've never made a prediction either, but I'm gonna say we win!!

Yao looked like he did his first season when he hit the rookie wall. I hope he was only exhausted from trying too hard at the beginning of the game. He needs to pace himself more and we need to get him the ball when he's in the game.

 

I'm thinking that it'll be a close game until midway through the fourth, when Dallas starts to feel the pressure of possibly losing a Game 7 at home and a third game in their own building. All of a sudden, T-Mac will be even that much more unstoppable; all of a sudden, the Rocket defense will seem that much more inpenetrable; all of a sudden, Rockets are hitting more and more open shots......

Yao lights up first half. Tmac lights up second half. Role players start off rough but beomce more solid throughout the game. Opposite happens for Mavs role players. Chants of "Get rid of Dirk" will echo when the game ends. Dirk cries like a girl.

 

Wesley has been real quite. He is the sleeper. Look for him getting 20 some pts in game 7. If he does so, we blow out the Mavs.

 

If the refs do not bias, we will blow out the Maves in the 7th game, period. More than 10 pts margin.

 

Beat the crap out of the Mavs...AGAIN. Let's go Yao, T-Mac, and the rest of the team and get another W in D-Town! The D in D-Town stands for DEFEATED!!!!

 

I heard he started smoking cigerettes after game 6 to deal with the stress.
