By looking at this pictures, I really hate Dirk so much!!!!!

Exactly. He's a 7 footer who can shoot the lights out. That's it. He plays no defense, doesn't rebound and doesn't pass particularly well. So basically he can do about 1/4 of players like TMac, Wade, Kobe and KG.

 

No wonder he gets all the calls... I was wondering how he does it so well

 

as much as i hated seeing him doing that, i don't see what's so wrong with it. as a matter of fact, i think what our players do is worse. they bring out that hand signal after hitting a 3 when we are freaking LOSING! quit gloating as long as you're getting your a$$ handed to you.

 

Might as well I guess, since Dirk and Barry are on the same level

Seriously though, this playoffs has exposed Dirk SOOOOOO much, that if I hear this guy for "MVP" or that he is better than Kevin Garnett or any of that crap anymore, I will go ballistic.

The guy can't even carry KG's jocks...they are not in the same league.

He is a prolific scorer, but that is it. He is a heck of an offensive player, but it has been proven that even his offense can be slowed down with the right strategy (who would have thought a scrub like Bowen, or a guard like McGrady can slow this guy down like this and throw him off his game?)

There are only two superstar PF in the league: Duncan and KG

I am not normally one to promote violence in a game, but somebody on the Rockets needs to take a flagrant 1 foul in game 6. Nothing vicious, but enough to send a message that we won't roll over and die.

Dirks just a soft jumpshooter in my opinion. He's not struggling, he's just getting outplayed and outdefended by T-MVPac. He's a great player and I like him as a person, but right now he's the enemy. Worse than that, he's the f'in anti-christ. It could be worse though. He could be Pau Gasol... now THERES a guy you can really get your hate on for.

This needs to clarified before it becomes conventional wisdom that it was Yao's fault.

I replayed that play on my TiVO several times last night to be sure, but Nowitski was NOT Yao's man on thay play.

Mike James got Nowitski on a switch at the top of the key, and he stood by and watched as Nowitski ran through the lane for the put back.

Yes, Yao's coming over to help cleared up the lane for Dirk, but Dirk wasn't his man to box out on the play.

I don't think BiGGie was implying that Dirk was Yao's man; I just wanted to clarify it for others...

as much as i was mad that james didn't box out on that play (he was left guarding dirk on the defensive switch)...you can't blame him for being pumped up...they won a big game. I will only hate the mavs until this series is over. my hat goes off to them so far, they've outplayed us, regardless of officiating etc...we make too many mistakes.

we complain of mav fans being jerks and stuck on themselves and their team, and on the flip side, we look like a bunch of whiny punks from all these threads...

I will back my team until they get eliminated, but let's not blame anyone but the players. They are breaking down when it counts most...simple as that. If we make FT's, smart possessions down the stretch, bad calls, bad flops, etc wouldn't even matter...that's how i see it.
