OK.... "ced" has become the prophet of the BBS due to his epic calling of the shot in the final 7 games of the series

but does anyone find is strange that "edc", the one poster who kept the FIRE JVG thread alive, uses the same letters in his handle as the GARM mascott.

....I would wager that they have never shown up in the same thread either....

I wonder what "dce" has to say on this

    ced makes a good point.

This year we would look really good for a few games --- then look like we were falling apart --- then look really good again. I think it's a sign of a team that needs to gut it out and over achieve to win. Fortunately the personalities of the role players (Sura, Wesley Barry, Motumbo, James) all lend themselves to that.

Anyone who's been a Rox fan for some time knows that there is something mystical about this team. The Ralph Sampson shot to beat the Lakers was the purest twist of fate I can recall in almost any sport. The Lakers were magical, mystical and alwasys destined to win. One fateful freak incident turned this city into a Rockets city.

But Sampson's shot is not all. The highly unlikely comeback against Phoenix ending in the game 7 winning shot from Mario Elie. From Choke City to Clutch City. Robert Horry's entire existence. The unlikely Drexler-Olajuwan championship run. Rudy T's catchphrase - "The Heart of a Champion".

Don't forget that the Rox did this all in the face of the curse of our city's sports teams: Bud Adams, the Bills-Oilers game, NC State's unlikely win over the Phi Slamma Jamma, the Astros' repeated struggles in the playoffs.

Ced is obviously in touch with the mystical side of our Rox. The Rox are essentially the Florida Marlins of basketball. One of the few organizations in the league that are not cursed. If Ced says we'll pull one off from a cursed Mavs team, I take it very seriously.

    Praise be to Ced!

I was wondering if I was the only one that noticed this...

Im getting so sick of seeing the same thing out of everyone of tigermission's posts...Im debating on putting him on IL until the playoffs are over just so I dont have to constantly see his Mavs a**-kissing.

I sure hope you're right about this one ced, cuz you were WAYYYY off on this one:

"I know ya'll gonna say 'man it's only been 9 games', But I've seen enough. Between last year and this year, Van Gundy does less with more talent than any other coach in the NBA."

I am surprised you would react in this manner, I didn't know it annoyed you and others this much.

I only mentioned it a couple of times in threads that were dealing with predictions, so it is not like it came out of the blue.

Mavs a**-kisser?! LOL!:D Yah sure, I am a closet Mavs fan!

Yah well, I won't bring "it" up again R2K, does that make you happy?

It is cool guys, I understand emotions are running high right now, so people aren't as appreciative of rational thinking. I will be a good homer;) :p

The clouds were tore open violently and a Light shone down from the skies. The earth shook as a booming voice reverberated throughout the land as if three exclamation points were being used...

"The Rox will win the next 2 games....book it!!!"

And So It Was. Thank you Ced Almighty.

P.S. tm1, stop raining on the feel-good parade.

    a couple of times?
hardly....I may be reactionary from time to time...but I wouldnt have mentioned it if it was only "a couple of times"...seems like every post you make that is talking about this series has some reference to how superior Dallas is to the Rockets.

    see above

    rational thinking??

I love it when ppl try to come off as all superior cause they think their opinion is the only way of thinking and if anyone disagrees they must be a "homer" (dont even get me started on why being a homer shoudnt be a insult)

Its a real shame when someone who supports their team is automatically dismissed as a "homer" if they should dare to think their team superior.....(it isnt a forgone conclusion that Dallas is in fact the superior team....maybe on paper...but paper isnt always right)

but whatever...type whatever you want...just dont expect those of us who dont agree to bother arguing...we just dont read it
as long as you arent acting like some troll or like that stupid bears kid...Im not gonna try to censure you...

I don't fault said for his prediction. He was basing his prediction without the occurence of a refreakingdiculous conspiracy by the worthless, r****ded, blind refs. They all need to be fired. This star treatment bs needs to stop.
