There was no time, they had to take an IMMEDIATE shot.

Tough luck guys, despite ALL our shortcomings, the Finely call ALONE changed the game. Adn then the refs anticiate a foul on the Rockets without us actually fouling!

Has there EVER been a worse officiated series in NBA history?

I sincerely hope Cuban bribed the refs, because I just can't believe they GAVE him the game for free. Horrible, horrible calls. I'm just amazed. David Stern is even in attendance. Jesus.

that one play where Barry got the ball stolen could have changed the whole game..maybe it wouldn't have but the play was there and the refs missed it

the refs deserve some blame as well

Two words: MISSED FREETHROWS!!!! But, you know what, I have a wierd feeling that this series is not over. As quirky as the Rockets are they might win the next two.

you mean, if Yao would have hit those free throws...

everyone choked in the 4th qtr, our defense was terrible, and our rebounding was worse

It's not just Tracy. Yao has to get part of the blame too but it doesn't matter now because the Rockets are going to win the next two games. :)

It's like every force in the world is trying to stop the Rockets from winning this series... even the Rockets themselves. But seriously..regardless of how bad we're playing, how good the other team is playing, missed free fts, blown rbs, turnovers, etc...the one thing you don't want to see is the refs deciding the outcome of the game at the end...and tonight they did w/ two bad calls....that's three games in a row that the refs have blown calls....calls that had an integral part on the outcome.

missed FTs from Yao, bad calls by ref, off-shooting night by TMac...

but I think the biggest negative this game was the quiet games from Sura, JB and Wesley. If we had gotten just 10 points from two of them, we won this game. FOr some reason, after Game 1 and 2, the three of them has gotten quiet.

What? You think he should've made both? I gave you the first one, but Tracy had to miss the second. Did you understand the game strategy? It's Yao's misses that were more crucial, but he also played valiantly the 4th quarter.

That was just stupid. How many times did Kerr say bad call or missed call?

    1. Stackhouse comes from out of bounds
    2. T-mac pretty much completely avoids contact with Dirk
    3. Padget doesnt foul whoever

Ya Free Throws kill them in the end but thats alot of crap to over come. I literaly can't believe what I just watched.

    Worst officiated game since 02/lakers/kings.
    Im literaly speechless.

Game 5 POSTGAME Thread (Mavs lead series 3-2)

I'm still sick. That was Don Beebe all over again. Yao should have made his free throws, but I can't believe the calls. Just can't believe it.

Probably not, but there were three things that stopped the Rockets from winning tonight (in order)

    1. Missed free throws
    2. Referees
    3. Allowing Dallas second chance opportunities

If they can fix 2 of those things for game 6, we will win. We need to be able to knock down our free throws, and box out and collect the defensive boards. We are not going to be able to change the way the game is officiated, so we need to concentrate on the things we can control and the things we can change and do better.

Never underestimate the heart of a champion! Yao, Tracy, MJ, JB et al - you listening? It is do or die for game 6 go out and win the damn thing!!!!
