WHAT THE FOCK!!!!!!!!

100,000? What are living in Communist China now? What's next, a two year jail sentence? What happen to freedom of speech? JVG was just telling something that his imaginary.....ah.......I mean real ref. was telling him.

The fine leveled against JVG is as absurd and ridiculous as the typical foul called on Ming. Message from NBA: don't dare and tell the truth. I hope the Rockets extract the 100 grand out the Mavs tonight. Can you spell, "hard feelings." I promise you, somebody is going to get tossed tonight. I hope it is Dirk, Finley, Avery, or Cuban.

I was thinking about this, and JVG might have said all of this without a real source- in short, lied- to get the team fired up. And the NBA just added a huge log to the fire. Going off of his press conferences, I don't think it's out of the question.

Yao says: Here's a check for $1 Mil. That should be enough to cover it for 10 times.

$100,000.00 on JVG? What a hoot! NBA is dirty. This really makes you wonder about those close games, and losses you have had with the Vegas lines.

    NBA is a show business!!!

Now all that is left is that the ref who told Van gundy this come forward and cause a scandal in the NBA.

Just of a what if?...what if it is true? how would this reflect on the previous two games and what effect would this have on the league?

I haven't been the biggest JVG fan but he has grown on me tremendously and more so now. Thank you Jeff for calling it as you see it: The refs were terrible in that game 4 and should have been beaten like a pinada afterwards for it. Hopefully this will translate into a fairly officiated game this weekend.

Haha, that's a joke...Jordan got the benefit of the doubt 10 out of 10 times, you couldn't even breathe on MJ or it would be called a foul; Kobe gets the most ridiculous calls go his way; In the Miami/ NJ game yesterday, Shaq elbowed Collins/Kristic about 2 times each (4 total) in the face as he made his moves and no calls were blown, clearly offensive fouls. Yao barely touches Dirk who flops and to the floor and they call a foul. Complete BULL****!!!!!! Kick some ASSSSSS 2night Rockets, and show those 3 BLIND Zebras you don't need their dumbasses.

Communist China would only fine JVG $100.00 in this case. As a matter of fact, they would rather reward the guy.

I was a little shocked by how big the fine was even though I was expecting a big fine. 10 G wasn't going to cut it. He -- a coach -- said he had an inside source that told him that the league was essentially fixing games. If they could fire him, I'm sure they would have. That's a huge blow to the credibility of the league. I'm surprised it isn't plastered on the front page of ESPN. It doesn't matter if the accuasation is true or not: a company can't let one of its own say stuff like that in the media. I'm glad he did it; he's got some big brass balls for doing it; but I wouldn't expect anything else from the league in response.

    From MSNBC,

It is too specific, an online evaluation from supervisor of officials Ronnie Nunn? no wonder JVG got fined 100k. That's too specific, anybody with the access can check whether it is true or not.

That is truly ludicrous. You got guys like Doc Rivers, Mark Cuban, and Rick Adelman making a big deal out of the refs before Van Gundy ever even said anything. No fines for those guys. And when Van Gundy speaks up, not only does he get fined, he gets a fine which is unprecedented/disproportionate in size given the nature of his offense.

I'm reading about this, and I still can't believe it.

On a related note... JVG may have just gone from my favorite current coach to my favorite coach ever. :D

More like, Yao says: "Can I write a check?"

Sorry. I couldn't let that one slide. :)

Now is Yao's turn to back up JVG, and speak out to his fans in China. Better yet, start a riot in China over this. That would really piss on the NBA's camp fire of the going for world market BS.
