the biggest problems i had were yao's 4th foul and dirk's non-4th foul. yao is posting up on dirk, and has his arm in dirk's chest like every post player in the nba does when posting. all of a sudden, dirk's head snaps a foot backward and the refs decide to call yao for an offensive foul in which he wasn't doing anything on an obvious flop. and then dirk, with 3 fouls, comes out of tmac on a pnr and obviously bumps into him, and tmac even stumbles a little, and they just let it go. unbelievable. these are the same refs who whistled bowen for a foul for reaching his arm out, touching dirk's hip for about half a second, and then pulling it back, with dirk about 27 feet away and dribbling sideways. and tmac got handchecked about 4 times by finley and howard on the perimeter with no call. it's just not consistent. and since they never showed a replay, i can't comment on dirk's steal on yao at the end but it damn sure look like he fouled him. he slapped pretty hard and yet the ball popped up. considering yao's never been known for his vise-like grip on the ball, you would think if it was all ball it would've gone straight down.
you know what would have the biggest effect, but what will never happen. about a 100 font headline in the chronicle about the officials. that would get far more attention than all the emails in the world or even les b****ing (even though it obviously worked for cuban considering the moving pick calls that haven't been made all season on anyone in the league*). but alas, i don't expect to see it happen. *bill simmons has mentioned this about 10 times in his columns. moving picks are being let go all over the league, and yet they decide to step in and start calling them on us for the first time all season in game 4 of the playoffs.
You people need to stop crying about the damn refs. I don't think I have ever seen so much whining in my life. you are making us look like a bunch of babies. bad calls happen all of the time in every damn game. If houston loses, it will be because of too much crying and those r****d hand gestures after three point shots. They just need to get to business. And for the record, Howard did not foul t-mac when the ball went out of bounds, and T-mac is on crack if he thinks the ref called that wrong. The boys need to focus on getting the job done and stop thowing out excuses, same goes for the fans! YOu should actually ask yourself: If you have never seen so much whining in your life, what makes all the people start to whine all of the sudden? Is the chance that they all get delusional at the same time bigger than that you just made your opinion before everything happens? Nobody really talked about TMac's out of bounds, nobody (well, maybe I am wrong, but i am sure the majority do not ) calls that a foul on Howard. They said that was bad luck, or Tmac's fault. They are talking about Dirk's flop, his non-foul to bump TMac and Slap Yao etc. If you want to argue, argue with facts and the topic others are talking about. It's just like people are discuss A!=B, you jump in and tell everyone that C=C, then jump up and down, "see, I am right, I am right!"
I was referring to T-Mac's press conference where is professes the ball did not hit him and he acts like the refs were seeign things. While he wasn't whinning as much as a lot of people have been about the refs, I believe it does fall within the subject of this thread. The whiners are bringing bad karma to the rockets. And I think there are a lot of people out there that would agree. And this Dirk flopping stuff is getting old, come one a lot of players flop, and he was legitimately fouled a few times and there was no call. Also, it is not like he shot a lot of free throws. I think is was only 9. Plus flopping had nothing to do with the outcome of the game, so everyone needs to get over it and it should not be the subject of a thread. OK, TMac was bad, Yao was bad, the Rockets team was bad, the fans are the worst. Screw fairplay and sportsman. Dirk does a great job. The Mavs played a great game and the refs fulfilled their duty perfectly. Nothing to be upset about, we just admit we are the inferior team. Happy now?
Well, the rockets should still win. We just need more help for T-mac. Sura and Barry should spend less time planning their 3 point shot celebrations and more time producing on the court. When sura and barry play well, the rockets win. Sura only have 5 points and only took about 5 or 6 shots. That is not going to cut it. also, Yao needs to freeken catch a ball. T-Mac can't do it all. After game 4, I found myself asking myself the following question: *IF* I were a bribed referee, what would I have done differently than the refs in yesterday's game, to help swing the series back to the Mavs? Umm... nothing. Yes I am terribly disappointed in the Rockets right now, but I am equally so with the officiating. They were making calls late in that game that I have NEVER seen in the playoffs against any other team. Anyway, well, now the Rox have to do this thing the HARD way. *sigh*. But When have they not? the refs were absolutley horrendous. Tmac/Barry/Yao had every right to argue against those BS refs. Any tickytack foul that was given to the Rockets was abosolutely ludacris. Just when you thought the fouls were pretty even, he comes one of the dumbasses blowing their whistle. I still cant believe they didnt call foul on Dirk on Tmac at the end of the half. Tmac was simply ROBBED during Game 4.
I don't know how much attention you have paid to this series. Cuban is whining and it seems to be working.
Dallas will never win a championship with marc cuban as an owner because complainers dont win just like steve and cuttino when you complain you are blaming things on other things other than who is really at fault. Cuban can bi^^h about the picks because they have been killing them all series and decides to talk about moving picks hmm.... Dallas will not win this series because they got too overconfident and Dirk sucks he will continue to throw up bricks we just need to stay calm and play with poise. F Dallas and their complaining.
