    Before the fireworks with Sanchez, Brown and Todd practically gushed over each other the day after a heated exchange.

    Todd got them both "friendship rings" to make up. He bought the colorful toy rings from a machine on his way to the council meeting.

    "It doesn't fit. I can't fit it over my knuckle," Todd said, waggling his pinky finger to demonstrate.

    "Councilmember Todd gave me a friendship ring, and we're best of buddies today," said Brown, who did not even attempt to slip his on his finger.
