Actually, I think they will win game 4. And then get destroyed in game 5 back in Phoenix.

I'm pulling for the Grizz because Pau Gasol is so cool. He is so consistent, never cries like a schoolgirl. also REAL Madrid fan likes Gasol, so I hope they win. Lucky Memphis - they have Gasol signed to a max contract!!!!

Excuse me? The Grizz don't have talent? Stromile Swift, Bonzi Wells, Mike Miller and Earl Watson come off of the bench for Memphis. They could start for all but a handful of NBA teams.

The problem has nothing to do with talent and everything to do with how the players are used. If you're going to have a 10 man rotation, you must do at least one of the following....play lockdown 3/4 court pressing D for 48 minutes or have your 5 oncourt players get to the offensive basket on every defensive change of possession. The Grizz do neither.

I'm not sure which Pau Gasol you're watching. The one that plays for the Grizzlies whines for an And1 after every shot he takes.

Even though I do hate them, it would be nice if they beat the Suns atleast once so the Suns dont have like a week of rest before they face us.

    Maybe, maybe no.

I'm SERIOUSLY disappointed this wasn't one of the first three responses.

I agree, I think Phx will play a mulligan and Mem will grind out pride W. Then Phx takes them out next game. And I will add one more prediction. Game 4 will be Memphis' only franchise playoff victory until at least 07.

Memphis has 8-9-10 decent players, but their best 5 or 6 are way behind the Western elite. Gasol is the only guy who MIGHT start for Phx, and even then Phx might keep him on the bench and keep their current quicker starters (might be more effective playing Johnson at the 3, Marion at the 4, and Stoud at the 5). I see Memphis either not in the playoffs next year (I assume KG will be back in the playoffs), or fighting again for the 8th seed only to get completely overmatched in round 1.

They need to try to trade 3 of their decent players for a superstar. Probably the best thing for them is to get swept so this becomes further obvious. But again my hunch is they win 1 and delay the big move for another year or two.

I went to the game in Memphis last night and the team looked like they'd lose the series, so why not lose it in four...That seemed to be their mentality. No heart whatsoever after they gave up their early league. Mike Miller should get the ball more often.

I noticed the same thing. When Phoenix turned up the heat Memphis just folded. They just took it.

Ther're always so far down the chain that they get blown out by the top ranked teams.

    Gasol sure is choking tonight.

in the last 3 minutes, he has fouled to guys for 2 three point plays, and has missed the needed shot in a close game over and over. Instead of blocking out his man (marion) or going for the rebound himself, he just stood there and then pushed Marion as he made the rebound and layup.

Nope, chalk down another year with out a Playoff win.
