Yes, its not like the Rockets played the greatest game in the world, but the fans in my section suck. I am not asking for you to all loud and scream on every play, but at least clap. Its not that hard....you take one hand and put it together with the other hand to make a sound!! The 2 guys next to me did not say or clap at all. They did get up when the shirts were being thrown...ahh priorities. Oh, he did get up to get 2 chicken tender baskets, which I thought he would be sharing with his friend, but he pretty much spend the whole 3rd quarter sucking his fingers!!! I just dont enjoy games when the crowd acts the way they do. Its better to watch at home with a few buddies....at least 75% of my section never got up and the other 50% did not clap. I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY THESE PEOPLE COME TO THE GAMES!!!! If you dont want to clap, then dont come.

I absolutely agree. I sat in the lower bowl, section 113, great seats, but zero energy. The fans around me sucked! I went crazy, chanted defense every chance I could, painted my face, stood up...I was put on the monitor when they had that thing that said RISE UP...People behind me had the nerve to tell me to sit down. In the playoffs?!?! They sucked the fun out of it and I will not go back for a playoff game, I honestly have more fun at home.

It is the rich, corporate types sitting in those seats who still think that Steve is still on the team who are to blame for that. The same people who haven't been to more than 5 games the entire season.

With that said, it seemed like the crowd was loud over the TV. But it most likely was the people in the upper level as everytime I heard alot of noise, the shots of the lower bowl were just people sitting down looking bored.

was this the entire game or at the end?

b/c from the broadcasts, it looked like the the toyota center was buzzing when the team was playing well, and quiet when they weren't. Not too hard to believe. The crowd goes with the team's play. I believe even the Rockets have alluded to this...it's not on the fans, it's on the team to perform and give the fans something to cheer about.

it's just how Houston fans are, you can't change that. but I encourage you to vent :)

the fans who would really want to be there, are at home watching it. I think the high ticket prices and quick sales (to people who just buy the tickets to say they were there to make others be envious of them) causes the sh!tty crowd. I know plenty of people who went to the game yesterday. Maybe one of them was a true 'die hard' fan. I'm sick of this houston crowd. It was so sad not being able to hear the crowd on tv. Im going to the game on Saturday.. lets hope its a little bit more exciting.

How about the steady stream of folks that started to leave when we were only down by 7 with 2:28 left to go.

    ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE

What happened to the sea of red?? Rockets fans need to fill up the Toyota Center with red jerseys like the Miami fans do at their games. I can't believe the crowd was a dud.

They told you to sit down!!!!????? I would have lit them up. That's not right at a playoff game, esepecially when the arena officials are putting up signs that RISE UP.

I don't advocate kidnapping, but apprehending those folks, and seizing any tickets for future games they had, to give to upper deck fans, or people who couldn't get tickets at all would have serving a universal good, justice would have been served.

    How about a noise meter...

If the level drops below a certain marker...a random member of the crowd is taken out of the arena and beaten.

the best part was that they didnt get up when the team was down 12.....then we make a 5-0 run, get the ball back, and then it was time to leave. I sat in the upper level, sect.427, the crowd sucked A$$. Oh well, all we can do is vent....once again, they couldnt even show up on time to an 8:30 game....how pathetic!!

Ugh. It's so cliche now that people whine when there's no reason to. I was in section 114 and we were loud, standing up and generally rowdy. The crowd as a whole was great last night until the run at the end, which is understandable.

Good job Houston fans. Bring it again-and louder-on Saturday!!!

And for all of you whining who weren't there. Go or shut up.

    LOL...

What should fans do when the home team is giving up 20 straight points?

    Cheer for them?

Get real....the crowd had nothing to do with the loss, and if you think it does, you need to ask how much Dallas' crowd mattered.

    SHEESH !

Judging by a game I went to earlier this year, I think the crowd is actually alot louder in person than it comes across on TV.

i was in section 119...on 3rd row and i thought it was pretty loud. it isnt as bad as people say it was, i was one of the few that would stand most of the time but hey i can understand that especially in 4th quarter, we lost all the momentum. Anyone on here that b****es about fans not being loud enough should put money where mouth is and sit down there. if you cant afford it then stop complaining cause you cant help the "problem" you are judging houston fans totally irrationally, go see them first hand you jerks

It sounds like overall the fans were pretty good last night. But if any fans told me to sit down when I standing up and cheering our team on I would be mad. I dont' care how the rest of the arena was, if someone shares that experience then they aren't whining when they complain, they have a right to be ticked off.
