I am trying to connect my laptop to my stereo system. The stereo system doesnt have a CD input but it does have AUX input where you plug in the 2 RCA cords ... So basically I need a cord where one side is the type that plugs into the audio ports on computers, cd players, radios, etc....and the other side needs to have the 2 RCA jacks... What is that cable called if it exists?
Dude, that is an easy cable to find Just go to Best Buy or Radio Shack or Circuit City...etc. I am not sure what it's called, Y cable or something like that. It's a very common cord.
I was just asking because I have a cable like the one that I described but the side that is supposed to go into the computer/cd player is a little smaller than what its supposed to be but if you simply look at it from a distance it looks like it would fit.. So I guess they have different sizes. I guess what I am asking if what is the size of the plug that goes into devices such as computers and cd players..
I don't know the size, but I am sure the packages say something about it being the size of a headphone jack. EDIT: •1/4'' is the size.
