Album's called "Lions" and from reports by people who were at an industry-weasel gig a few nights back, the new material the Crowes played was as good as anything off of Amorica and better than even the highlights from Three Snakes and One Charm (like Bring On, Bring On or Evil Eye) or By Your Side (Horsehead, Virtue and Vice). I cannot wait. Oh, and **** Rick Rubin. ------------------ If I ain't dead already, girl you know the reason why...

What do you think of the decision to tour with Oasis? I hope they blow those overrated Brits off the stage!
Nowadays, if you're not a 17-yr old blonde with t*** as big around as Janet Reno's eyes, you've got to do whatever you can to broaden your audience, since the traditional outlets (radio, MTV) are of no help whatsoever. I'd rather see the Crowes out there with the Jayhawks or Wilco... but if this will help them sell more records, more power to em. Besides, while I've never been an Oasis fan, their music's never been of the kind that makes me want to retch. ------------------ If I ain't dead already, girl you know the reason why...
Kagy, did you catch the Jayhawks last month at La Zona Rosa? ------------------ "Knickerbocker Please!" visit www.swirve.com, coming January 20th, the top 10 films of 2000! http://www.geocities.com/clutch34_2000 for great Rocket insight by some of your fellow BBS posters!
Oasis? That'll be a tour that's sure to end in doom. I predict they won't finish the tour together... rH
Oasis has a pretty big fan base....but they would have been much more popular in the States if they hadn't spouted off all those anti-USA comments several years back. Oh well, I actually own two of their CD's and like some of their stuff, but I would not pay a high price to see them live. ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
Sorry guys, I don't mean to disrespect anyone here, but I just can't get into the Black Crowes. To me , they are a poor man's version of the Faces, 30 years later. I prefer the real thing. ------------------ "Blues is a Healer" --John Lee Hooker
All right Rocketman, For 10 points, the Faces went by another name before their lead singer left the band? One of my favorite albums of their's was. "Ogdens Nut Gone Flakes" What was their original name and who became their singer in the new lineup? ------------------ Everything you do, effects everything that is. Surface comparison, Tex. The Faces were a terrific band but they never accomplished anything that sounded like Amorica or the highlights of the following two albums. ------------------ If I ain't dead already, girl you know the reason why...
Oaisis and Black Crowes? What do they call it, "The Battling Brothers Tour?" ------------------ Me fail English? That's unpossible.
