For a place that is exclusively in Houston, it had a damn good run. I'll have some for lunch in tribute.
2) Taco Bell 8) Taco Cabana (Since I agree with whomever said it earlier, that Fud's isn't really fast food)
2) Taco Bell 8) Taco Cabana Can someone please explain what's so good about whataburger? I lived in texas 22 years and have probably only been there no more than 10 times. I thought their hamburgers taste just like the one's they serve in elementary school cafeterias. Is there some special hamburger they have there that I don't know about? Are their fries special? What is it?
easiest thing I can say is they'll make it your way. However you prefer your burger, be it mayo or ketchup or mustard, plus whatever else you like (they have at least three diff. cheese options, Grilled onions, texas toast, you name it.) If you like your burger a certain way, try it at whataburger made the way you like it. It will beat any other chain you're going to, save for Fudds.
Their hours of operation... Taco Bell Fudds Taco Cabana's food just tastes really bland to me. But they do have beer.
I think they have the best tasting burgers in a fast food restuarant. To me, they actually have that "hole in the wall" flavor that you normally only get at....well......hole in the wall burger joints. That being said, I don't like the fact that they don't have much menu selection. If I could have Whataburger burgers and Sonic tots and drink selection (with the occasional sonic greasy taco or coney), I'd have the perfect burger joint. That being said, I still prefer a run for the border, so: Taco Bell Taco Cabana (hoestly, it's a shame that Whataburger and Taco Bell couldn't compete in the final round, but that's life)
Taco Bell Taco Cabana I know I'm in the minority, but Whataburger might be the most overrated burger place ever. People love Whataburger because it's a regional favorite, but their burgers are bland, dry, and squished down. The only thing that makes Whataburger respectable is their grilled chicken sandwich and breakfast items. ...and hey, you gotta have the all Mexican food final, right? Besides, any place that has booths that are themed with classic rock acts can't really count as fast food...
