Texans traded 2nd and 3rd round draft picks to get a guy who may or may not be an upgrade to the guy we already had on the field, and then let that established vet go. Seems like a high price to pay for a lateral move. Hope it pays off.
Dear Texans fans, Thank you very much for Aaron Glenn. I know we have had some tough times in the past, but this was very generous on your part. You now have two wonderful young cornerbacks and no longer have room for a very the talented veteran (if only the ******* that has all the good short stops in my fantasy baseball league were so kind!) This acquistion coupled with the draft and free agent signings gives me new hope for the year. Barring injuries or a complete quarterback meltdown, I think the Cowboys will be in the playoffs this year. Hopefully the Texans will be too. Love, Drew This should be followed with a novel by R.C. about the correlations between the Glenn pickup and the new X-box 360. I anxiously await said post.
I cant believe this. It looked like the Texans were gonna have a stacked but good secondary this year. Crap, Aaron Glenn was one of my favorite players.
All the veteran moves this year have all been salary cap related...I mean, AG was a good CB, but not worth the $$$...He'll be fine...Should go to Dallas, as they need a good veteran corner...
here's the link "Glenn is fourth defensive starter to leave" http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2046742
This one is tough to swallow. Especially with the fact that he will be a Cowboy. I just keep leaning back on Casserly's short track record with this team and hope it works out for the best. The defense really wasn't very good last year...not playoff caliber anyway. Something had to change, and now it's happening.
actually the radio stations in houston said when we picked up PB he asked for his release since he may not be a guarenteed starter so we granted his wish.
We should have traded Glenn a #2 and a #3 to Detroit for Charles Rogers But seriously I hate to see Glenn go out like that and I hate he is going to the CowGirls even more.
They have to be willing to trade you something of value. It's quite possible that Dallas and NE just wanted to unload their mistake contracts on the Texans.
I heard a quick thing on 610 but didn't get the whole part...theys aid something about Glenn and the Cowboys...did he sign or are they jsut interested?
