Game 2 was so thriller, that it belongs with billie jean, beat it, and wanna be starting something!

I have to see where we rank this in the top Rockets Road Victories in the playoffs.

I don't understand your poll, but I'll go ahead and vote anyway.

Don't really understand the poll but the best finish is still

Game 7 vs Phoenix: Kiss of Death, Mario Elie because that won the series.

i think the poll is messed up

anyway, i think it ranks behind all those noted in the poll

Sampsons shot was a true miracle and put us in the finals

Elie's shot capped off the greatest series comeback of all time

Cassell's shot gave us a crucial game 3 win, in NY in the finals

Dream's tip in brought us back from the dead in Game 1 against Orlando

Although this poll is messed up, I chose Sam's shot.

I choose Sampson's shot because that game was just crazy.
Kupchak trying to punch Dream and Dream gets kicked out.
We were down and we came back to tie it. That sent us to the Finals.
    ..I hate the Lakers...

Plus that shot was PURE LUCK!!

The Tmac shot was cold blooded, but at least he was looking at the basket. Ralph just threw it up!

i chose Mario's shot..just because it was the culmination of so much. Down 3-1 in the series...down by 12 at half in game 7...on the road...with the Suns talking sooo much trash. that was incredible. the stones it took for that guy to pull up for that shot, when we were only down by 1, was just amazing.

I honestly think the awesome-ness of these playoffs has also been fueled by 4 things : 2000, 2001, 2002 and 2003.

Compared to the shiate Rocks fans have been through this is very exicting, last night's game may be classic, but it can't hold a candle to the Kiss of Death ...last night was beautiful, but it didn't win us anything but the game so far

    TMac's shot was GREAT! But, it didn't win/clinch anything. It's just Round 1 - Game 2.

Therefore, my vote is for Sampson. That was a shot for the ages.

C'mon, if you voted for Elie's shot that is probably because you weren't there for Sampson's shot.

    Picture It:

    1. Show Time Lakers (w/ Magic and Kareem).

    2. Rockets were huge underdogs before the series.

    3. Hakeem got ejected earlier in a fight.

    4. Rockets inbound the ball with 1 second left in the game!

    5. Sampson throws up a volleyball prayer that bounced around the rim for seemingly 10 minutes.

    6. Micheal Cooper collapses in disbeleif on the floor because they just got elimnated. Rox move on to face Boston in the finals.

    How Sweet It Is!!!!

Nothing beats it. Ellie's shot was great but it ain't the same. Tmac's shot was great but can't even be compared to Ellie's shot.

Last night will go down in history as one of the best rocket road playoff game victories of all time, however, It has to be the KISS OF DEATH game. That was probably the one of the best houston sports moments of all time. Excluding the championships, because we all know those were best times as a houston fan ever.

was old enough to remember both.

the thing that separates the shots for me is the urgency. without Sampson's shot, we likely still win that series. it's 3-2, going back to Houston.

without the Elie shot, we're finished...the comeback to get to game 7 is worthless...and as he's taking the shot you're going, "NOO!!!! DON'T TAKE A 3!!! NOOO!!!!" and then swish. and he calmly looks over to the Suns bench, who talked trash the whole time, and blows a kiss. wow.

I was there (or watching on TV) for all of these games, including LA game 5 and the Kiss of Death game. I have to go with Kiss of Death because it was a game 7, do or die. Game 5 in LA was amazing for all the reasons cited above, but the Rockets would have had 2 more chances to win the series had they lost.
