Here's to the brave shooters on this Rockets team. To those who steps up their shooting during the 4th quarter. To those who are unafraid of wide open looks during crunch time. To those who will keep shooting despite missing a few. To those who will shoot a wide open shot despite having a bad shooting percentage. And of course to those who make the game winner look so easy. On the flip side, here's to Keith Van Horn, he of the timid 4th quarter. Having a basketball player that is scared not only damages his own team, but uplifts the opposition.
Word. When someone on this team isn't hitting (Wesley), someone else will pick them up (Barry), and even later if he's not in, someone else will (Sura!). This team has too many shooters for everyone to go cold; it's playoff time, one of them will always show up. Y'all watch, I bet Wesley will be back hitting the big guys in game 3. Legler made a good point tonight about how JVG took him out when he wasn't playing well, but Johnson left KVH in when he wasn't producing. Barry+Sura+James in game 2 = 40 points. Huge!
yeah.....sura was cold-blooded. and so were our other guards. there was a point in the game when bowen's man would come off and double up on tmac. bowen did not come out to get the ball..........so i was screaming (at my tv) for jvg to put in padgett. he soon did.......and they still left padgett opened at the top of the key. padgett was open a couple of times, but did not pull the trigger on the 3. i guess it was too much pressure, since it was his first minutes in the series. then padgett was getting used by kvh on the defensive end. thing is......padgett was stroking it coming into the playoffs and i expected some offensive spurts from him. he should show up in 3 and 4.
