Its important to note that there is a clause in the contract that explicitly and clearly states that Mr. Gillette will not move the team south of the border. Of course, there is no way that the NHL would move one of the most storied franchises in all of sports out of hockey-mad Montreal. It might as well close shop if it did. Molson still does own 20% of the franchise. Let's hope Les Habitants can regain some of their past glory.
