This is a no brainer. How can you not select T2?

now that is what I am talkin about!!!!

    On the real
    Terminator I was the best
    same as Alien V Aliens

the second movies are more polished and Cinematic
    but
the drama, tension and atmosphere of the originals
    was
    so great!!

    Great Film Making

I'll take T1 because it was more serious and darker than the others. Plus, it was the original and produced in the early 80s when sci-fi wasn't well established nor was special effects. Plus, there would be no T2 or T3. Those are just re-hash spin-off storylines from T1. So, T1 gets the nod for originality and plotline. T2 gets the nod for special effects, one-liners, and comedy. T3 gets the nod for stupidity.

T1 wins in my book. To this day, I think its more of a cult following for T1. But, it laid the foundation for the entire series. T2 was more of a..."now that we have the technology to do special effects...let's morph some sh*t and blow more stuff up". It only came out over ten years later than T1.

The first Terminator movie by a small margin. The 2nd one is great, and it's obviously a much better looking and sounding action film with a $90 million budget, but it's got a ton of plotholes that never should've gotten past the scripting stage.

T3 actually surprised me by being a worthy followup to the first two. It's nowhere near as good as its predecessors, but it's a decent third chapter and wrapup to the trilogy. Especially when compared to that 3rd Alien movie that followed another James Cameron sequel.

Wrap-up? Everyone knows that after Arnold's done with his campaign he'll be doing T4 in his 60's.

I didn't have a problem with the scared kid parts, but rather the teach the robot to act like a flamboyantly gay r****d parts. Prior to T2, I had never heard anyone talk like that, and it sounded stupid. I thought the way the original terminator talked and acted was much cooler. Linda Hamilton kicked ass in T2 though.

I love how they turned Skynet into the software in the third movie. The world wide wide was just science fiction when the first movie came out.

The answer is clearly T-2. However, I thought T-3 was vastly underrated, especially keeping in mind that it wasn't written or directed by Cameron. Definitely NOT in the 'Robocop 3' genre.

I read somewhere on the web (can't remember where) that T4 has been greenlighted. But it will not have Nick Stahl or Claire Danes or Arnold. It will take place during the actual war between humans and machines.

Wow, that's a surprise. Even if I could suspend disbelief long enough to get around the fact Arnold isn't in it, how could they not have Nick Stahl. He is John Connor, the leader of the human armies and he has a huge part in saving the world. Maybe it'd be conveniently after Arnold's character in T3 kills him.

T-2! If Ed Furlong wasn't in it, it would have been one of the greast movies ever.

Because it takes place much more in the future than T3.. so they need to cast older versions of the all the main characters.

    The original.

better story, cool music, and no annoying whiny kid.

Only thing that T2 had on the first was better special effects. But those special effects didnt age well at all imo.

I might be wrong but wasn't T2 the first movie to have CGI in it. I just remember how blown away I was when I first saw it. For that reason I say it's the best. T1 was the better story though.
