Even with the win most of the "experts" are still saying the Mavs will come back and win in 6 or 7.

The few people that do pick the Rox (like Tim Legler) always preface their argument that the Rox will win the series with "Call me Crazy but..." or
" I know this sounds crazy but..."

Yeah like they have to cover their back and act like they are just doing that to be different...it's freaking stupid..but who cares...like i said before i am eating up all this negativity like we did in 95....keep on brining it and keep on thinking we are a lower tiered team...

This is the best place to shine and show everyone what we can do.

Anybody can score in the regular season. Both Arenas and Nowitzki choked during their first playoff games. They shot a combined 20%. Gilbert Areans ain't nothing but a spoiled punk. I wouldn't want to wear anything othen than a red hot Number 1 Rockets jersey. Get you some ugly azz green and pewter jersey Shanoff

If there is a bad part to the Rockets going on to win the series against the Mavs, which I think they will, it's that the blame will be squarely on Avery Johnson as the reason the Mavs lost to the Rockets. Nobody would even consider that the Rockets could be the better team. Sad.

Man this guy really has it out for tmac, he's definitely been chuggin on that haterade. Doesn't he know that tmac's the #2 selling jersey in the league?

Funny how he chooses Arenas as what's hot, cuz he's been absolutely terrible this entire first game against the Bulls, shooting something like 3-16. And Dirk...well we all know how that game went :D

Well, right now the Mavs are a more *likeable* team. That's why people are picking them and doggin on T-mac.

Keep in mind there's a thin line between what people percieve to be a whinning pre-madonna type and the consumate team player.

The t-mac of old has a bad rap. Takes time for public opinion to change.

Yup i mean did you listen to the commentators during the game? we had a freaking 19 point lead and all they could talk about was why the Mavericks this or that...or why are they doing bad....not one time did they give credit to the Rockets good play....the downplay our stuff but make it seem like Dallas is just having a bad day and our great defense and our great play had nothing to do with it...it's sick and im damn tired of it.

Yeah, I noticed that, too, among all the other things and let people know what I thought about it in the game thread. The national media is always down on Houston teams. We will just be the underdog for now. Maybe their notion of the Rockets will change after the Rockets keep doing this year after year in the upcoming decade while finishing in the top 4 in the regular season.

You're right. The same way it will take the Knicks a long long time to rebuild.

Thing about it is, that those of us in Florida know that he was never a bad guy. Who would want to be on a team with management like that? Do you think that players like Tyronn Lue, and Drew Gooden are Scottie Pippers? I also don't, I can't stand these media types always talking out of their @$$e$.

Jesus Christ himself could return and sign with the Rockets and they'd still get hated on. I don't really know why they get so much disrespect but I also know it doesn't matter.

In the immortal words of Houstonians the Geto Boys, "Real gangsta-ass (gentlemen) don't flex nuts, 'cuz real gangsta-ass (gentlemen) know they got 'em."

Rox fans ought to be used to being the underdogs. On paper we don't have the athletes the other top teams have. If we win tomorrows game, I think a lot of the media are going to take notice and believe this team is for real.

Yep...Gilbert Arenas is a rising star. So, it no wonder they picked him. Tmac has to prove he's not selfish (perception). The media will believe more once he has lead a team through the play-offs. They just don't belive it. We do!

    The media....the biggest bandwagons. :)

Now lets go kick some tail!
