I'm embarassed as an Astros's fan to have him on the mound.....If he gives up 5 in 3 innings it's amazing!!!!

Bring on Ezequiel Astacio!!!!! Could it get worse??? I think not!!!

ahh gotta love stubborn Phil. i just dont understand...does he really not see this coming?

throwing duckworth out there is essentially forfeiting a game in my opinion.

    I bet you meant Duckworth-less.

I blame no one but Garner and Purpura.

How demoralizing it is to go into a game hoping not to be embarassed - hoping to have a chance - hoping to at least be competitive.

Lets just stay with our 4-man rotation if all we are left with is Brandon. Tim Redding was at least descent thru 5 innings.

Knowing Phil Garner and Purpura, I will bet that Brandon starts for us next Wednesday. They will be hoping for a miracle from him. You know it is coming but there is little that you and I can do about that.

    You know it.

It's time to release him. His stuff is average.

Redding at least had a CHANCE to win....Duckworth is just an automatic loss.

Time to bring up that AAA ace at Round Rock.

Well they had to give the guy a chance...he's out of options... plus I'm sure the thinking was to give Astacio some more minor league starts before bringing him up. Duckworth might get a few more starts, which I'm fine w/...maybe he can turn it out around...but if he continues this 8run in 4-inning performance, I doubt he will last much longer. But it's still early and we do still have a formidable 4-man rotation.

Astros should call up a kid name Fernando Nieve from AA Corpus Christi to be fifth starter. This kid is 24 amd his filthy. His stats so far, 1-0, 1.06 ERA, 17 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 23 SO. Zeke is being struggling lately but don't worry. I still think Phil and Tim's dumbass will still start Suckworth.

Nieve is very intriguing. He's been very good in the minors, and he tore winterball up a couple of years ago. I don't know what Astros brass feels about when he will be ready or whether his stuff translates well to big league success (remember Saaaaarloooooos?), but he is certainly intriguing.

Another football score(sort of  ) in that 5 spot!Garner needs to get it together, and stop this insanity of throwing away games. At least with one of the young studs we'll be in half the games ,and they'll be getting experience.Plus,a guy like Astacio could catch fire and never look back.

Wandy Rodriguez has been pitching well in Round Rock, plus he's a lefty.
