    Yao
    Spoon
    T-Mac
    Wesley
    Sura
    Deke
    James
    Barry
    Padge
    Rybo
    Moochie
Baker (I guess this makes Miamigirl happy)

So out is Braggs and Ward.
JHo cannot come back for the playoffs for sure now.

I'm ready to go to war with this. Good shooting, enough ball handling. Baker over Braggs just in case we need some inside scoring some point in time I guess. Let's do it. Beat the Mavs!

    P.S.

I just found this info in the JHo thread, so if y'all don't feel it deserves it's own thread then my apologies. Just wanted and official this is our playoff roster thread with general discussion about it. So delete if necessary. Thanks

I've said all along i can't wait for Baker to shut down Dirk! ;)

He's good for about 5 minutes of hustle and hard working defense at a time. Mind you, that tough defene is only toughh on Vin, not Dirk. I hope he wears a sweat band, same goes for the X factor Shwan Bradley who apparently will shut down Yao. I feel these 2 comparisons only make sense.

    :D

That's good. I'm glad they didn't try and have Juwan come back to run the risk of messing up the Rockets' chemistry and furthermore risking injury to himself. Nice to see Mooch make it. Baker is kind of a surprise. Hopefully we're not desperate enough that we'd need either.

I'm really suprised they chose Baker over a younger, more athletic Braggs.

This was a surprise because they just put VB on IL a few games ago, I thought putting VB on the IL was to finalize the playoff roster. Given that JVG would want to put his best team on the floor, I guess he thinks that VB is better than Braggs.

Thought the Juwan rumor was bogus because the playoff roster had to be submitted to the league after the end of the regular season and to take a roster spot for a guy that may come back if the team makes it to the final is kind of stupid. Wish the league would change this rule and allow more flexibility with interchanging players that are on the IL.

    Baker over Braggs?

I can only guess that there was something JVG saw in Baker that we don't know about...
Maybe for a better matchup against Dirk??? I don't have a clue one this one...

Add me to the VB on the p/o roster HUH? list. I hope it bodes well. I hope he plays well. I hope he becomes an asset for this p/o run (and an off season target for some unsuspecting team).

I like Braggs but whatever differences that exist between Braggs and Baker are not going to cost us a playoff game.

Van Gundy did the courteous thing that probably 99% of NBA coaches would have done. You give a playoff roster spot to a vet who has been with the team and in the league much longer.

More versatile and more experience in an emergency. Which is the only reason he would need to see any time anyway. If we go the full 23-28 games Baker could get 4-10 minutes. Maybe even crucial time against Shaq.

I doubt Baker will get on the court except for possibly a few garbage minutes if there's a blowout. We already have a 3 man rotation at the 4, don't we?

I was under the impression that Braggs joined the team too late to be eligible for the play-off roster.

This may not even merit a post, but I hope that if Moochie is back next year, he grows back his fro. He lost all mojo when he cut it.

Will JVG give Baker a chance to play? I would think he would give Braggs the opportunity over Baker.

As a Rocket fan, I believe Baker will rise to the occasion.

He will be the "Ultimate X Factor."

There isnt too many of those times in the playoffs. VB will be there to play D and commit his fouls that he has.

I have faith in the man, but this is just one of those things I can never understand about JVG. Braggs seems to perpetually be in his doghouse when it comes to minutes. Braggs is a productive rebounder. You put him out there just a few minutes, he will at least give you an offensive rebound or two. VB gives you nothing. No, I take it back. Less than nothing.

I wanted Braggs to play starters minutes against Seattle to prove himself. Didn't happen, but he acquitted himself OK with a rebound every other minute.

    Baker over Braggs?

    Better Hack-A-Shaq potential?
