Well Saturday is getting close and teams around the NFl will select the best choices from colleges across the nation. ESPN is having the mock NFL draft starting at 11:30 Central Time. So what do you think will be done with the first pick? Who do you think your team will select? Who do you want them to select? Where, if anywhere, will players like Maurice Clarett and Mike Williams go? I think Philadelphia needs to go after a second wide-out or a running back that is more durable than Westbrook and more reliable than Buckhalter or maybe some more offensive linemen. Since the Eagles resigned Trotter and Simon I really think they only need to draft back ups unless of course this Owens issue actually results in him leaving the team.
I'm still not a believer in Alex Smith or Rodgers, but they'll be gone in the top 10...I think mike williams will be gone in the top 10 as well...if he's around for the Texans, why wouldn't you pick him up...Clarrett will be playing in Canada... I see Cedric Benson and DJ gone in the top 5 & 10 respectively...
My prediction is this will be one of the longest drafts ever because teams will be trading up and down all over the place using their entire allotted time. Set the snooze alarm for every 15 minutes and you'll enjoy the draft.
Lil Pun, your Eagles have like a gazillion picks...they should trade up with the Texans and get that WR they need. Clarett will not be drafted.
The draft should be fun. Things that interest me: should Smith go #1, how far would Rodgers fall? where does Matt Jones go? who will slide significantly? Adrian Mcphereson. where the the qbs after Rodgers and smith go. trades trades trades. For Dallas, I just want them to go defense, unless there is some extreme o value on the board.
Did anybody see the Cold Pizza live mock this morning? They had two journalists (Bob Glauber and ?) taking alternate picks. Their top six went like this: 1. San Francisco: Alex Smith, QB, Utah 2. Miami: Ronnie Brown, RB, Auburn 3. Minnesota (from Cleveland): Braylon Edwards, WR, Michigan 4. Chicago: Shawn Merriman, LB, Maryland 5. Tampa Bay: Carnell Williams, RB, Auburn 6: Tennessee: Aaron Rodgers, QB, California ...couldn't stay so I don't know if they got to Houston's pick or not.
