Miami over New Jersey in 6 - Jason Kidd and Carter get them at least two games, Kristic has a nice series. Washington over Chicago in 6 - Hinrich, Gordon, and Chandler will put up a good fight but they will miss Deng and Curry. Boston over Indiana in 7 - Like San Antonio, Indiana is always the team that's SUPPOSED to come out of it's conference based on talent, but they never do. Reggie Miller will have to play one of his best playoff series for them to pull off the upset. Detroit over Philadelphia in 5 - AI finished a master piece of a season and his reward is the best team in the Eastern Conference, .
Miami vs. NJ: Miami in 5. Shaq or no Shaq, the Heat are just a much better team than the Nets. Chicago vs. Washington: Chicago in 6. Two teams with little playoffs experience. I'd go with the team that plays defense. Boston vs. Indiana: Boston in 7. This will be the best first round matchup in the East. Boston has home court and more talent. They should prevail at the end. Detroit vs. Philly: Detroit in 6. Sorry AI, it's another early exit for your sixers. Second round: Miami vs. Chicago: Miami in 4. A clean sweep for the Heat. Chicago should have run out of gas by then. Detroit vs. Boston: Detroit in 6. Boston actually matches up well against Detroit, but the Pistons will find a way to win. Conference Final: Miami vs. Detroit: Detroit in 7. The defending champions prevail in one of the classic series that will be talked about for years to come.
Miami against NJ: Miami in 6. Unless Shaq has reaaally been dogging it, which I don't doubt very much. Chicago vs Wash: Bulls in 7. Bulls play better D; Washington will make a series of it thanks to Arenas, Jamison, Hughes. Boston vs Indiana: Indiana in 7. If Jermaine O'Neal stays healthy, I like Indy's chances. But it has to be Miller time one last time. Detroit vs Philly: Detroit in 7. Iverson will have something to prove, playing against Larry Brown, but you have to give the champs an edge. Then: Miami over Chicago in 6 (Shaq takes over) Detroit over Indiana in 6 (Indy wears down, Detroit brings their big guys to bear down) Miami over Detroit in 7.

Miami v. New Jersey. Miami in 5. In all honesty, NJ don't have any firepower to take out the Heat. I am pretty sure Stan Van Gundy knows that if you get physical with Vince Carter, he will back down and settle for jumpers all day long. Jason Kidd is Jason Kidd + a bum knee. I don't think he can keep up with the likes of Flash and Damon Jones. And it doesn't matter if he's not 100% healthy, Shaq will dominate anything NJ throws at him. It should be a sweep but I think that Carter will go off on one game (most likely the first) and win one for NJ Detroit v. Philly Detroit in 4. I feel bad for Iverson...really do. His team is essentially a one man wrecking crew--himself. His supporting cast is subpar AT BEST and Webber will once again fold under playoff pressure. Boston v. Indiana Boston in 7. Indiana is simply to broken down to do anything at this point. But I wouldn't go as far as to say it's going to be cakewalk for Boston. There's a reason why they traded Walker away and they'll soon remember that--he's going to hoist up shot after shot once more. Basically this series will drag out to 7 games because Boston let it. Chicago v. Washington Washington in 6. Has there been a more unworthy 4th seed other than the Mavericks? And besides Gordon (who I question will perform as great in the playoffs) and Hinrich, they don't have enough to combat Hughes/Arenas/Jamison.
-Miami over NJ in 5 (NJ is playing well but their front court will be killed. Maybe Carter and Kidd steal a game). -Washington over Chi in 6 (Washington is healthier, more experienced, and right now has more diversified skill with Jamison to compliment the back-court). -Boston over Indiana in 7 (Most even series. I think Boston has played with more chemistry, and that carries them to a game 7 victory). -Detroit over Philly in 6 (Phily is playing well and I would pick them to take out any team in the east except Detriot and Miami. Unfortunately they draw one of them.)
NETS front court depth chart looks like.... Small Forward: Brian Scalabrine, Billy Thomas Power Forward: Jason Collins, Clifford Robinson Center: Nenad Krstic, Jabari Smith HEAT: Eddie Jones, Rasual Butler, Shandon Anderson Udonis Haslem, Christian Laettner Shaquille O'Neal, Michael Doleac, Alonzo Mourning Their only prayer is if Shaq can't walk.
Our picks are exactly the same, lol. The last one is the toughest for me though; I think Detroit will win in less than 7, but not exactly sure how many. Either 5 or 6 probably.

miami over jersey in 7 washington over chicago in 6 indiana over boston in 5 detroit over philly in 6 miami over washington in 6 indiana over detroit in 6 indiana over miami in 7 shock the world, Pacers, for Reggie!
Miami over Jersey in 7 - Jersey always plays good ball in the playoffs, gives Miami a run for its money. Scalabrine averages over 10 ppg. Flash again picks up his game for the playoffs, just like Penny used to. Chicago over Wash in 6 - Chandler's coming out party, Washington's road record sucks. Boston over Indiana in 5 - Pierce, Davis, and Payton too much for em. Detroit over Philly in 5 - Iverson goes off for 50 in Philly's only win.
I think Boston takes the Indy series in 5 or 6, though I would love to see Boston make a quick exit because 1. they are a bunch of trash talking low-class ****s 2. i hate the city of boston 3. i'd like to see reggie keep it going as long as possible.
I just dug this up to remind me how at least a few of you picked the Pacers to beat the Celtics. I'll stick with my prediction of them also beating the Pistons AND the Heat.
