Sorry for this old news as I have not been keeping up...but what happen to Ron Dibble for his imminent absent on The Dan Patrick Show? I turn in on the station one afternoon and all of a sudden he's gone and Dan didn't really say why and just shove it off likes its no big deal.

ESPN fired him a while back. The general consensus was that the show had degerated into a top-40 morning show kind of mentality, and that they weren't really talking sports as much anymore.

Dibble was mostly just a yes-man, and he didn't add much to the show.

Plus he was just a baseball guy. Why he was on the show during football and basketball season is beyond me.

That does kinda make sense b/c they would stray off, maybe a little too much with the sports topic at hand and rather throw in some of their own personel everyday thing.. At the same time, I dunno how you could talk sports non-stop for 3 hrs straight without breaking into non-sports related stuff.

I think Ron has a show on XM Radio. They have a 24 hour Baseball Channel.
