Being a recovering Trekkie I've watched Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan uncounted times and Star Trek VIII First Contact

I have some relatives with a Star Wars fixation and have had to watch the original trilogy more times than I care to remember.

In the past 10 years when I've been feeling down I like to watch Glory

This is interesting topic. There are some great movies that I have no desire to see more than once, like Star Wars or Malcom X. Ther are some OK movies that I trip over while surfing cable that lock me down and paralyze my hand on the remote. This movies are not high art at all and mostly not very cerebral.

    Here is my list

    Naked Gun (> 100 times)
    Groundhog Day
    Airplane!
    Raising Arizona
    Excalibur
    Real Men
    Mr Destiny
    Casablanca
    Apocalypse Now
    Stripes
    Caddyshack
    This is Spinal Tap!
    Analyze This
    Animal House
    Ghost Busters
Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
    Used Cars
    Repo Man
    Men in Black
The Man with One Red Shoe
    My Cousin Vinny
    Fast Times at Ridgemont High
    Top Gun
    Die Hard
    Twelve Monkeys
    Swordfish
    My Favorite Year
    The Princess Bride
    A Few Good Men

reading this thread made me realize just how many movies there are that i've seen a lot of times.

yeah it's funny, Jurassic Park might be my favorite movie ever, but i never stop to watch it on USA or NBC when they play it. it's like i want to be in the mood to appreciate it, whereas with these others i just want to be entertained and they do a good job.

from my childhood, there is The Great Outdoors which is another candidate for my favorite movie ever. i've also seen Beetlejuice countless times.

Trading Places was absolutely beat into the ground by USA, TBS, and TNT in the early 90's and if we're counting 15 minutes as watched like A-Train mentioned, then this would probably have to be somewhere in the 50-75 times range and probably be the most ever for me.

thanks to TNT, i've seen The Mummy a ton of times, and i usually will watch it all the way through, even when they play it 3 straight days.

then there are things like Back to the Future, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, Top Gun, Shawshank, The Breakfast Club, and MIB that i've seen a bunch of times on tv. and since HBO doesn't seem to wanna put any new movies worth a damn into it's rotation, i've been living off of Bad Boys II for a while (which is a funny ass movie) and so it's climbing the charts.

does anyone else wish we had some sort of lifetime stat keeper that we could reference at all times for things like this? you know, just ask which movies have i seen the most and a top 10 or top 100 list just pops up.

Book is awesome. I keep it by my bed and read it for inspiration when I'm down.
