I figured since smoothie started the "How To Beat Dallas" Thread, I thought I would start this thread on beating Seattle (since there is a possibility).

Do you guys really want to face the Mavs?

Hers is how we beat Seattle:

Fly to their city, get on their bus, drive to their arena, and kick their asses!

I love the Zen-like simplicity of that plan. It's very Sun Tzu.

What is the sound of one foot asskicking?

Honestly, it really shouldn't matter which team we face. Our goal should be to get to AT LEAST the conference finals. In that case, we should get the best seed possible and be prepared for whoever they play in the first round.

But for those that are looking first round win only, I still don't think we have a much better chance against either Dallas or Seattle. By no means are we favorites in either series, but we should be able to beat both of them.

At this point, I'm starting to lean more toward the "It doesn't matter who we play" perspective. Seattle is still the easier team to beat but they can be just as dangerous as Dallas if they get hot from long range.

To answer your topic....send 2x teams at Lewis and Allen and make everyone else beat you.

I really don't care who we face in the playoffs. I'm not worried about it. When this team hits the open shots, it can beat anyone.

I feel very good about our chances this year.

Since you started the thread I'll go ahead and comment.

The Sonics WILL NOT be a pushover if we face them. Now that Rashard is back and playing well, they are a team to be reckoned with. I don't understand why so many just assume we will beat them easily. As I said elsewhere, it will be a tough, nasty series that will bring out the anti-Sonics hatred that has been buried deep inside us all for the last several years.

Seattle really lucked out by (probably) getting Sacramento in the first round. I expect them to pound the Kings easily 4-0 or 4-1. The way to beat Seattle is with stellar defense and good inside play, which is why we match up good with them. The Kings offer neither.

How about getting straight down to business and starting a "How to Beat Detroit Pistons" thread?

Seattle does not play defense. Dallas pretends to play defense. They dont scare me. If anything, both of these teams should be scared of Rockets. Rockets are built for playoff battles. True, they have a big hole at PF spot. So what!? Deal with it and let's ride Tmac and Yao. Win or lose, Dallas series will make the Rockets by bringing out the best in Yao, Tmac and JVG.

Remember, no one is giving Rockets any chance of getting in the finals. Dallas, on the other hand will be favored by everyone. They will feel the pressure once they experience JVG's designed defense. And when Tmac feels Dallas tightening up, he will smell the blood and go for the kill.

I want them to play Dallas. The satisfation of beating them will be much more amplified compared to demolition of Seattle. It's like trying to get a fat girl or a Super model in bed. You know you got that fat one easy, but if you get the other one, it's ownage.

If we get Mavs, we get Mavs. Let's kick their asses. Dirk tends to choke in playoff anyway.

Rock: Who did you say we were going to play in the first round, jabroni?

Jabroni: I said we were going to play...

Rock: IT DOESN"T MATTER WHO WE PLAY IN THE FIRST ROUND!!!!!
